We have now visited twice and every time we come we always have a great time. The beer is excellent and I greatly enjoy the styles they choose. Every beer I had was an excellent, clean example of the style. The space is amazing considering it is all outside but the effort they put into this historical building and how they are taking their time to do things right. This second time they has a Karaoke night and we had a blast singing and listening to others sing lots of great songs. I wish I lived closer so this could be a regular visit for us. If you live close I suggest you check it out and if you are visiting the area it is a must visit. They are also very dog friendly which we always appreciate.

Dropping a review of the new “BS” beer. It’s what I always imagined a mid-century American lager would have tasted like, before they started getting cute with BS additives and such. We should all keep our BS between friends and out of our beer. If you are a beerknurd and like stouts or IPAs, Labora has those too. The BS offering is for your friends or relatives who need to be gently and methodically evangelized into drinking proper beer. You start them on the BS, then step up to the Fat Girl ale.

So excited for this brewery to be in Mathis. They offer a great selection of beers for all. Light, dark, IPA they do a wonderful job with the selection. Beers are served cold at the perfect temperature. They do have food trucks as well, can’t wait for them to setup the indoors. Make sure to ask about their space available for rent for venues. Great owners with great atmosphere all around.

I am very excited about this new local brewery finally opening! Currently, there is only a covered patio, but it faces the south and usually has a nice breeze! In the cooler months, it will block the northern winds. The restrooms are air conditioned. You walk up to the sliding glass window to order one of their delicious craft beers. They offer a nice selection of light to dark beers. Fat Girl Blonde and Orange Grove are my two favorites! I like my beers a little colder than these but unlike Shiner Bock that must be ice cold, their beers still taste good & are still easy to drink eventhough they are not ice cold after about 15 minutes. The owners and their families run the brewery. They are very friendly and are great hosts! The brewery is aesthetically pleasing with natural wood bench tables & hand-painted wall murals.
