I don’t go for the drinks, I go for the food. Some of the best fried chicken in Crystal Lake. Everything on the menu tops the list, not your average ‘bar food’. Business is well run, staff is always a pleasure to work with.

Ok, been a while and neighbors suggested Labemi’s. Have been once or twice and was good. Worse mistake ever.. While the food is ok and I understood waitress serving me was in training the bartender Tiffany is a complete absolute terrible total horror . Waited for drinks as she ate at bar… mixed my drink with wrong alcohol and after dinner while we tried to play slot machine I asked her what a mix charge was? For trainee could not answer. She said charge was if they didn’t pour with shot glass? Seriously can we not count? ( she pored with shot glass) Then became a total disaster and made us leave stating I was banned and should be lucky I was left in? I have been banned? Seriously I have served my community for over 30 years know both owners and was kicked out for a bill question? Afterward walked across the street for cocktails and heard this is her norm! I don’t mind box fans nailed to ceiling and 1960s decor but get rid of her!

It’s a dive bar, but sometimes that’s exactly the vibe you’re looking for. Always great service and good conversation with the locals. No one seems to be overserved or smells like pee, so it’s not THAT divey..

Do not go to this place they’re racist ☺️ they will refuse you service if you’re latino and they will also talk trash about you. The bartender refused to serve us drinks with a smirk on her face, will not recommend and will let more people from my community know since i teach in CL.
