General Manager Bailee sets the tone beautifully. Her leadership shows in the way the staff moves — confident, attentive, and genuinely proud of what they’re creating. It’s a young crew, but their professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail are impressive. The restaurant was spotless — from the dining floor to the glassware to the bar. Cleanliness was clearly a priority, but it never felt forced or sterile. It simply felt well cared for.
As a food photographer, I had the chance to taste and visually study over 25 dishes, and this is where Label truly shines. The kitchen — led by a chef who understands both flavor and aesthetic — delivers plates that are visually composed with intention. The color contrasts, the balance of textures, the careful garnishing — everything appeared camera-ready the moment it hit the table.
But behind the beauty is real freshness and flavor. The ingredients tasted vibrant and high-quality; nothing felt processed or heavy-handed. Plates had depth, but also clarity — the kind of food where you can identify every flavor note, yet still enjoy the harmony of the whole dish. The sushi was bright and clean, the proteins were handled with skill, sauces were well-reduced and thoughtfully paired, and even simple sides carried their own character.
Label delivers an experience that feels remarkably close to fine dining, but without any of the stiffness or exclusivity. Instead, it’s approachable, warm, and confident — the kind of place where creativity meets comfort.
Thank you, Bailee!
We arrived a little bit early (15 mins) but we were seated immediately. Briar (I think that was his name) promptly greeted us and took our order.
Immediately I noticed that the restaurant itself is pretty dimly lit, and a little bit under decorated for a restaurant where you make reservations. There was a greasy looking bottle decoration on the table and that’s it. No salt, no pepper.
We were also disappointed that there wasn’t any appetizer bread (like rolls or breadsticks) like longhorn gives for free.
I got up to go to the restroom but there were employees on ladders putting liquor bottles on shelves right directly in the opening to the hallway that leads to the restrooms. It was really awkward having to step around everyone in that moment.
We ordered the garlic fries as an appetizer and for the main, my husband got the aged ribeye with macaroni and brussel sprouts. I got the sea bass which came with risotto and I chose broccolini as my side.
The food arrived in a timely manner. The garlic fry appetizer was delicious in flavor, but very greasy.
My husband enjoyed the steak, but mentioned that while it was a good quality cut of meat, it could have been better seasoned. He didn’t enjoy the sides, the brussel sprouts were slimy and the truffle macaroni tasted and looked like school cafeteria macaroni.
The sea bass was a little dry. It was also not very well seasoned, I could tell they were pretty reliant on the buerre blanc being the main flavor profile. Too much wine was used in the buerre blanc, and this caused the delicate risotto to be overwhelmed with an alcohol taste. The broccolini was absolutely delicious and fresh though. Some salt and pepper on the table would have been great.
The waiter was really friendly and attentive, but I do wish he would have brought some salt and pepper. I kept forgetting to ask, but to be honest a paying customer at a restaurant shouldn’t have to ask for something as basic as salt and pepper.
We decided to skip dessert, as the meal was very underwhelming. We really wanted to love this place. We may try again in the far future.

I can genuinely say that it was all fabulous! The service was prompt and excellent. They are lucky to have ALEX!! His knowledge of the menu items and history of the restaurant and restaurant group is impressive. He speaks so highly of the organization and the restaurant, that he sounds like an owner. Location is perfect for the area but we hope one day they will open up a restaurant in Morristown!!!
