The sweet potato and spring rolls were a highlight of the meal. The sweet potato was well flavored, and the spring rolls were light and crisp. Both were simple and well done.

One of the better tonkatsus I’ve had. The crust was crisp, the pork was tender, and the yuzu dipping sauce added a nice lift. The service was quick and friendly

An unpretentious fine dining restaurant with very attentive service. 3-course prix fixe menu for $88. Complementary bread. Drinks are bit pricey – all alcoholic drinks were above $20.
Every dish has a great combination of flavors and texture. I really liked the black cod. Beautiful presentation with root vegetable garish and puree. The cod is so buttery. The crab croquette was good too. Creamy, cheesy fillings.

Perfect course for $88. Every dish was creative, beautiful, and of course tasty. Combination of egg yolk and tuna tartar was especially awesome! Service was also really great, considering the price here. It was like I went to a restaurant over $130.
Overall, this restaurant is one of the best French restaurant, with some Japanese touch, in the city. Definitely recommend this place, especially considering the price.

Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared. The cod and the wagyu were both excellent—well cooked and full of flavor. The matcha tiramisu was a standout, and the truffle ice cream was also delicious. A place that focuses on doing fewer things, but doing them very well. Will plan another visit soon.

Superb. An always evolving menu which continues to elevate. Redefines accessible and casual fine dining. A welcome and unique proposition in TriBeCa and NYC. L’abeille next door – does what it says on the box – all the trappings of its 1 Michelin mothership, but in a more accessible package. Shhhh – could be the best date night deal in NYC.

Highly recommend!!!
My husband and I were extremely pleased to go to L’abeille à côté to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We’ve got the « prix fixe » menu — the food was super delicious ! The service was excellent too (they even surprised us with a « happy anniversary » desert) — probably the best I’ve ever experienced! And the ambiance and decor were very cozy and sophisticated!
We’ll definitely go back there if we get the chance!
