Great food overall.
I got a pizza and arancini, and both were very delicious and well prepared.
Staff was amazingly cheerful, friendly, and helpful.
The only bad thing was that it was really loud due to the many guests, which made it a bit hard to relax.
Nevertheless, I really liked the food and service.

What happened here?
I haven’t been here in a while but I remember always being satisfied with the food, but tonight I was rather underwhelmed.
First of all, I found the waiting staff actually quite grumpy (never found that in here before – the female waitress we had was nice). I always remember there were plenty of smiles as waiters seated you at the table.
My food was served pretty cold (my friend’s lasagne was served hot), I hadn’t ate much today so I was really hungry, I had to eat so didn’t send back! But the quality wasn’t amazing either, the tiramisu was probably the best part of the meal.
Probably wouldn’t return based on the experience tonight, I used to be so impressed with this place, what a shame!

I am so disappointed in my experience this evening. We have been coming to La Vita Spuntinis in Byres Road for years and have always had great food and service. We came to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary and not once was it mentioned… we did not expect anything but a happy anniversary would have been nice – this was something of a normal in our previous visits. We understood that 1.45 hours was all we had and, if the service speed matched the time, it should have been OK but it didn’t. We waited quite a long time for our food and them taking our order. The waitress came to us at exactly 1.45 hours apologising and said we had to vacate the table. We also had lots of people behind us standing waiting for their table. It was really uncomfortable. I am extremely disappointed in the whole experience and will not be bringing my family to celebrate a significants again. Goodbye La Vita Spuntini. Signed: an extremely disappointed customer.

Amazing Italian restaurant with authentic flavors and a warm atmosphere. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the pizza was fresh and full of flavor, and every dish tasted homemade and traditional. The ingredients were clearly high quality.
The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Service was fast without feeling rushed, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting.

Overall, we visited the restaurant for a team dinner, but the experience was disappointing. The staff, particularly the manager, was rude and unprofessional. His behavior lacked courtesy, and the inappropriate remarks he made were completely unacceptable.
We had requested seating for 20 people in a single row; however, we were seated at multiple tables. While we adjusted to the situation, it could have been handled far better. The environment was also extremely uncomfortable due to poor ventilation. There were no fans, and being seated on the first floor directly above the kitchen made the area unbearably hot.
Additionally, when we repeatedly requested black pepper, instead of providing a single pepper shaker for the entire group, the staff kept bringing it briefly, sprinkling it on the food, and then taking it away. This was inconvenient and did not make much sense for such a large group.
Although the ambience was pleasant, the lighting was too dim, making it difficult for people with poor eyesight to read the menu.
The only positive aspect of our visit was Emmy, one of the staff members who served us. She was understanding, attentive, and considerate, which I truly appreciated. I am giving an extra star solely because of her service.

Had a lovely evening dining here. A local bartender told us about this place as a recommendation so we decided to check it out and couldn’t have been happier. The food was incredible and our server Katie was one of the nicest people I have ever met. Highly recommend visiting this spot for some amazing pasta

Too much food and too much choice. Everything was drizzled with strange dressings. I wanted a dessert but why was there a choice of 5 cheesecakes? And why did the ENORMOUS slice come slathered with whipped cream, icecream, caramel sauce and unidentifiable fruity sauce. Also we were seated in a booth at the back, literally behind a screen. Very uncomfortable. Maybe they were having a bad night but there was literally nobody else dining when we left at 8. I have been before but something is different and I don’t think I’ll go back. Staff were lovely though

Delicious food and fast, friendly service. There was a lovely family atmosphere to the restaurant. We were able to be seated on a Friday early evening without a reservation. There is a tapas style dining experience or a traditional main meal experience to choose from.
