Hidden gem off Nuckols corridor. Family owned and real Sicilian owners. Restaurant is very clean and cozy. Food was super delicious! I enjoyed everything that we have ordered. My favorite was the Garlic Knots (12 pieces), they were soaked in fresh garlic/olive oil. Marinara dipping sauce was one of the best that I ever had. We ordered Chicken Philly with Provolone from the $9.99 lunch special. It came with the French Fries, I loved the Sub and fries. My son ordered a large Sausage and Pepperoni pizza, it was very tasty and crust was nice and thin. I ordered the Chicken Marsala with pasta on the side. The chicken was very tender and you can cut it with a fork. The Chicken Marsala came with a house salad, my son and I enjoyed the salad with their house dressing. Appetizer Bruschetta was very fresh. Cannoli made the whole lunch like a cheer on top.

Only at La Vita E Bella!!
Phenomenal service with a very attentive owner. It’s a family business ran by very hard working people, creating a cozy atmosphere in a small humble establishment.
Great savory dishes. Francesco went out of his way on a busy night, to put together for me a gluten free calamari dish, that I could not get enough from. The only complaint I had is that I could not find anything to complain about!!! I urge you folks out there to give it a try.
Update, December 12,2024- If you happen to catch Francesco on a good night when they’re not busy, ask for the grilled (not fried) calamari, it is not on the menu but it certainly is a delicateness.

Another outstanding exquisitely satisfactory dinning experience at La Vita.

Update June 11,2025
Another divine evening at La Vita. I suggested and made a failing attempt to have them change the trade name to heaven instead la Vita e Bella! Didn’t work :(~

Francesco and his wife Francesca make you feel like family at this casual and fun Sicilian eatery. Ask for the specials of the day. Most of the orders are for pizza but pastas and salad are delicious. Closed Sunday but open Monday to Saturday! He also leads small gtoup trips to Sicily for groups of 8 or more.

I ordered takeout from here and, honestly, I don’t get the high average rating. I ordered chicken fettucine alfredo and tiramisu. While it met the need for some creamy noodles and a dessert after a long day, it was just… fine. The chicken was overcooked, noodles were long past al dente, and the cream sauce was a little bland. The tiramisu had no rum flavor – it honestly tasted like cinnamon on top of whipped cream. Reading other reviews, it seems like their specialties are red sauce dishes and pizza, but this order doesn’t really make me want to order from them again. It wasn’t necessarily bad, but it wasn’t anything that made me go “oooh, I want to order from them again.”

Another weekend to savor another restaurant food. And we are so happy to find this place nearby and we didn’t made a mistake coming to this restaurant. It’s locally owned by a Sicilian family and the owner Francesco is hands on and welcoming, he offered us the lunch specials and explained to us what comes with it. The place is cleaned and cozy and the service is fast. We ordered garlic knots for appetizer and Seafood Alla Vita Bella with penne which is cooked al dente and the sauce is fresh it also comes with garlic bread and fresh salad and we ordered cannoli for dessert which was just made. The food are so delicious and we can’t wait to try their pizza and other food on the menu. This will be our new place to go for Subs and pizza too. We also ordered Italian sub which comes with French fries to bring home for my daughter and that is so delicious too. I can’t wait to tell my friends & siblings about this place.

I really dont like to talk bad about a place when the owners really nice. Spoke to him a bit while waiting for my order. A real italian from sicily. Well sadly thats where it ended for me. I really wasnt in the mood for pizza but the chinese place was closed so I saw this place and figured what the hell. Im a pizza snob. So after talking to the nice owner I ordered a medium pizza with sausage and pepperoni. And a Meat ball sub. Maybe its me but the pizza was just ok and the meatball sub for 11.00 was a huge disapointment. i have never been to any quality italian restaurant that cuts there meatballs in half. I actually have had better at subway. I dont live in the area so maybe this is a local favorite but I will never go back. Pizza was nothing to brag about. I asked the grub hub driver on my way in how was the food and he said he doesnt eat here. I was going to turn around but I didnt. Again. I feel bad giving my honest opinion to such a nice owner…

The food was absolutely amazing! You could taste that their red sauce was homemade. The salad was fresh and tasty as well! The venue was very clean and all of the staff wore mask. The customer service was great as well. Our waitress came by regularly to check on us to make sure we were ok. Next time I’m in the area and I have a taste for some good Italian food La Vita E’ Bella Ristorante will be where I will be enjoying a good meal! Definitely stop by and check them out. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

Delicious! We stopped by on a busy Saturday night – good to see in a small businesses. We ate in the dining room and shared a refreshing bottle of pinot griot. Had the linguine with white clam sauce, and loved it. Meant to take half home – that didn’t happen! This isn’t fine dining, but the kind of place you can drop in any time and feel comfortable. Enjoyed the murals. Our wait staff was friendly and helpful. I’d love to come back for their lunch specials or to pick up a pizza. Must be good because the pick up line was almost to the door. Great place!

I was in the Richmond area for hiking and afterwards the taste for Italian, I googled restaurants and this one sounded perfect. I arrived around 2:30. I was given a friendly greeting and seated.. after reviewing the menu I decided on a house, specialty the chicken and artichokes. I chose Angel hair pasta. The meal came with a garden salad, freshly prepared and a mini warm loaf of bread spread generously with garlic butter the main course was professionally presented and a generous portion. The chicken artichoke and delicately prepared angel hair were covered is in the most delicious sauce.
This was an exceptional dining experience.
