We brought a group for a fun Taco Tuesday gathering and had a great experience. The restaurant was clean and very accommodating, and the food was delicious. Everyone ordered something different and every single person was happy with their meal. Highly recommend if you are in or near Valrico. La Villa is a great spot.

I ordered food through DoorDash from this restaurant and requested basic condiments for my tacos (salsa). Although salsa verde was eventually included, the owner initially refused and complained about delivery fees instead of fulfilling the order. The tacos arrived dry and incomplete. Additionally, I ordered guacamole and cheese but did not receive any chips, making the order a waste of money. This is the third time I have given this restaurant an opportunity due to limited options in the area, but the delivery experience continues to be disappointing. I am submitting this as a consumer experience concern.

We pulled up and the place looked authentic, decorated well and it was clean inside. Nobody would sit us so we sat ourselves. We waited about 5 minutes for someone to ask about drinks. We waited another 10 minutes for someone to take our order (side note they don’t offer ground beef tacos).
They then brought us some chips and salsa, the chips were flavorless and stale, the salsa had a decent taste.
The food came out and it was warm, not hot. The cheese wasn’t even melted on the one dinner. The food had zero seasoning, it was extremely bland. The flour tortillas are from the grocery store, the same ones I use at home (I watched them get more out from the back). I personally will not be back.

Old school Mexican restaurant with fairly authentic food. I found the food to be a little bit on the bland side, but it was still good. Support local.
My only recommendation on the ambience, is switch out the blue light ballast fixtures for more of a warm light.

I really hate to give a small business a bad review, but the young man taking orders will not listen or take responsibility. I ordered a $100 order. My son wanted a burrito with only steak, lettuce, and cheese. He opens it and it is loaded with everything. I called to tell them. The young man said, “so what do you want.” I want a burrito with only steak, lettuce, and cheese. I get there and they are expecting me to pay. They did give it to me and I left the one that was wrong. I brought the burrito home. It was the same exact thing as the one that I brought back. At this point, it is going in the trash. Only lettuce and cheese is not a difficult thing.

If I could rate this place 6 stars out of 5, I would. Walking in, you’re immediately immersed in Mexican culture. There’s beautiful Mexican decor and photographs of Mexico City on the walls, and pleasant Mexican music playing softly in the background (the place was very clean as well). I went with my mom and we were seated rather quickly. The service was excellent, with our waitress being very friendly and happy to help! I ordered some steak (carne asada) and carnitas tacos, while my mom ordered al pastor tacos. We also ordered an horchata each. The tacos came out quite quickly, but first we were treated to our horchatas (which were delicious), but also some complimentary chips and salsa, which were great! Our tacos were hot and ready just moments later, and it was love at first bite. There are certain meals in your life that serve as benchmarks to look back on for your future experiences with that cuisine. For me, this is one of them. Coming from someone who is part of a Mexican family who has always cherished his culture, I have spent years trying to find trying to find a place that comes close to the magic of home. This place recreates that magic, and at a very reasonable price as well. Finally, after eating, the owner, Juan, came over and spoke to us for a while. He’s a very kind man who was very pleasant to talk to, and at the end of a long conversation, gave us a Mazapán, which is a very tasty Mexican candy/treat. All in all, I couldn’t recommend this place enough, and my mom and I will absolutely be going back!

Very disappointed with this place. The food was bland and lacked any authentic Mexican flavor. The beans were cold and tasted like they came straight from a can, and the Spanish rice was completely underseasoned—basically flavorless. The chile rellenos were tiny, and the cheese inside wasn’t even melted. My wife’s burrito had the same issue with unmelted cheese and no real flavor. This was hands down the worst Mexican food I have ever eaten, and the prices are far too high for the poor quality and portion sizes. Absolutely not worth it. Never again!

Accepted our reservation and accommodated separate guest checks. Good food and friendly, accommodating service. Go for the food and the staff. It’s not a full bar and drink options are limited, but it’s a nice local unassuming place that hits the spot.

This is hands down the worst food I have ever had. It was disgusting. The 1st pic were not even sure if this was supposed to be sour cream or mayo. The chicken was a frozen breast, pretty sure they microwaved. The 3rd pic was supposed to be cheese dip.
That’s not even the worst part. My son ordered the mole enchiladas , no pics of it as we sent it back almost immediately. I never leave bad reviews. Take this is as more of a warning.
