This order was through Uber Eats. I decided to try them again since I couldn’t remember how they were the first time. The order totaled $100.00 including tip and fees. Three 3 pupusas totaled $15 + which is a huge mark up from what I can buy locally. So I’ll start with these. There was no flavor. The curtido was little and not vinegary at all. Lacked flavor. I added my own hot sauce. The salsa was awful , I threw it out. Pupusas were very greasy and I blotted them with a paper towel.
The empanadas were tiny. 2 for $8.00.
Chicken tacos were $19 which included mini sized tacos, rice, beans a piece of cheese. See picture. The rice lacked salt. Zero salt in this rice. The flan was good.
The 3 stars removed were for lack of flavor. I don’t feel you get the value for the money. I won’t be ordering from here again. I don’t recommend because you can get more flavorful food elsewhere. Too bland

The food was WONDERFUL! Huge portions and great value!
Clean and warm atmosphere. The bathrooms SPOTLESS! and cozy
We had Pupusas, quesadillas Mexicanas, yuca frita, guacamole. Huevos con chorizo, chicken shrimp rice and beans. With tortillas Salvadoreñas!! The best horchata!
All so yummy. 10/10 recommend

Excellent customer Service! The food was great but I do understand some of the other reviews regarding the pupusa’s. My suggestion would be to not get the salsa/ sauce that comes with it and ask them to swap it with consumé as well as swap the pickled cabbage for rice. Those are a better pairing in my opinion. Apart from that, I enjoy everything else as is. The birria tacos were great and the nachos were a great app. I was also introduced to spicy pickled carrots on nachos here and it was a pleasant experience. Lastly, the churros for dessert will seal the deal.

We’re in the neighborhood and have ordered their tacos and pupusas many times and they’re delicious. Last night we walked over for dining in not realizing they were about to close. They insisted we dine in regardless since they were still going to be around to clean the kitchen. The staff was super friendly and the food as usual was delicious! We love having La Villa in our neighborhood

Absolute best Mexican/Salvadorian food I have found anywhere in the area. Food was very fresh, perfectly seasoned, and the portion large- enough for me to have some the next day. Also my favorite part was the handmade tortillas!!!!!! A perfect takeout spot. Also the staff was so nice. This is a hidden gem for sure.

The other day I ordered, La Villa Mexicana and Salvadoran Food, for lunch. I got their Carnitas & Al Pastor Tacos lunch platter. It was phenomenal! I also got their Bean & Cheese Pupusas, for the side. The Lunch platter also came with a simple salad, rice, and refried beans w/ cheese. EACH ITEM WAS AMAZING! My favorite was the Bean & Cheese Pupusas! The taco lunch platter was extremely tantalizing, but the Pupusas was, AMAZING! The Pupusas came out piping hot, and also the tacos had a lot of meat, and they were made fresh. Every ingredient tasted as though homemade. I ordered the Pork Pupusas, but due to the language barrier, they gave me the Bean & Cheese one, either way I absolutely enjoyed it. The Pupusas greatly impacts my total score. I’d HIGHLY recommend, La Villa Mexican and Salvadoran Food, to anyone in South Orange area and happen to be looking for great food. Would absolutely be ordering from here again!

Anytime I’m in the area I make sure to stop by for their horchata! Best I’ve ever had, and probably ever will. Everything they make tastes amazing, even just simple beans and rice are top notch. The man who works the register is super friendly and packs the food perfectly. Thank you for making amazing food!

This is my go to place, i live close by here and I frequent it often. The food is top tier and delicious. From burritos to burrito bowls and the tacos I can eat here everyday but my paycheck won’t allow it . The service is fantastic, the guy in the front is always so polite and welcoming. It’s like a hole in the wall, a small place is always great why? When a place is tiny the food is always fresh because they don’t have room to store/prep ahead too much things at once. Just saying ♀️I’ve worked in a restaurant before. The guacamole , the best I’ve had and I know original Mexican’s
I added some pictures, feast your eyes and order some food today. If you don’t like it I’ll pay get ready to your new life long addiction so it’s a steak bowl, guacamole, fresh chips “they were nice and warm” then those damn tacos Al pastor, carnitas and chicken.
