Excellent place to go if you are starving and want to have a good time!! I went there with my husband to have lunch and we had a great first impression as soon as we walked in. The attention is amazing. Cinthia, our waitress, was super friendly, always smiling and when I had questions about plates she answered them right there. The lady who made us the guacamole at our table was super nice too! I was impressed because of the design of the place, super colorful and professional! For someone from Argentina like me, it’s hard to find good places with great food and good taste!! I recommend this place a 100%.

This place!! Wow. Where do I even start? Finally a Mexican restaurant in southern Maryland that tastes authentic. I had the Asada street tacos and they were a 10/10! The meat was flavorful and juicy. The tortillas were cooked to perfection. Also tried the rice and beans. They were equally as delicious. If you want GOOD and Authentic Mexican rice… order this!
My fiance ordered the Chicken Mole and loved it. Over all 10/10! Our server, Maria, was very kind and friendly. She made the experience even more enjoyable.

Great food! Best Mexican I have had in the area. Large variety of dishes and a lot of dishes that are different from the standard cookie cutter Mexican. Definitely will go again.

Me and my friends went to La Vida last weekend and ordered the birria tacos, asada sopes, horchata, and street corn. My boyfriend ordered a Mr. Pibb, but received something reminiscent of a flavored tea. We ordered our food and it took awhile for our food to come out, which was expected, but my friend who ordered birria tacos with no onion or cilantro, received a taco with both of them. My friend ended up eating the one with the onions but it was still a bit disappointing. The sopes were great and the steak was cooked perfectly. The elote was some of the most authentic tasting I found in SOMD. Definitely will come back, just hoping that the errors were a few kinks that come with starting a restaurant.

This is the best kept secret in St. Mary’s County. Its a skosh more expensive than some of the others but it is so worth it. Its date night level mexican. The bar makes absolutely delicious cocktails that are unique and have beautiful presentation. We got the the churiqueso which came out bubbling and hot and was perfect. I ordered off the street food menu so I could try several different things. The barria taco was absolutely sublime. The street corn was so delicious. And my tostada was very good but I was getting full. My husband got a churi chicken dish with shrimp that was perfect but too much food. And my nephew got the chicken mole. Both said the rice was delicious not just a white rice. We didnt have room for desert. But we will absolutely be back.

Wow. Great mexican restaurant! We have several good mexican restaurants in the area, so its hard to standout. But La Vida Mexican Bar & Grill rises above with excellent service and very tasty food. We ate there yesterday and will definitely be going back. Specifically, the Trompito Al Pastor was excellent. And our server Cynthia was awesome! Highly recommended.

Truly stepped up their game, food is a lot less grease ridden. (You can get whatever you want without the need for tums later) Service was truly perfect. The food quantity has remained the same as it was before however as stated above the quality is on point. 100% worth the price and I will be going here regularly
As for the atmosphere, definitely feels a bit more bland than it was before, seems like is was simply repainted but at the end of the day I don’t own it so I cannot critique all that much. All in all 9/10.
