I hope this helps
For sure not the run-of-the-mill Tex-Mex smorgish board, rather true to form this place ranks high in all the areas that matter. Great location in Renaissance Park, (lets no speak on the maze of meandering back to the highway) warm, friendly staff who in my opinion bears a since of honor and pride in all I witness them do. Decorations are very nice and complimentary to the food and theme. Food well prepared and we were provided suggestions to which we did choose. I selected the bowl, of course half chicken half steak was no problem, my partner got the guac as a side and a grilled chicken dish which was so flavorful, just check out my pics below.
We ate, we talked, we laughed and at no time were we interrupted yet our cups stayed full, chips and salsa replenished and genuine smiles were worn like bespoke suits.
We really enjoyed most things about this place, including our server’s fresh white Air Force Ones which complimented his uniform. I appreciate all this goodness in a food encounter, the team made our visit exceptional. Greatness!

We’ve ordered from this restaurant a few times online and visited twice in person.
The atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff is friendly and accommodating, which we appreciated.
However, the food consistently fell short of expectations. For a Mexican restaurant, the flavors were surprisingly bland. Some dishes, like the taquitos ahogados and chicken rolls, were soggy or greasy, and several items seemed more focused on presentation than execution. Despite ordering different plates, many of them tasted very similar.
The only thing we genuinely enjoyed was the guacamole, which I always like to customize with mango for balance.
Overall, while the space and service are nice, the food itself did not meet our expectations, and we decided we would not be returning.

La Cocina Restaurante Mexicano was a really enjoyable stop, and I’m glad I decided to eat here. I ordered the chimichanga, and it came out exactly how I like it hot, crispy on the outside, and packed with a flavorful filling that tasted fresh and well seasoned. It wasn’t greasy or soggy at all, which is honestly the make or break detail for a good chimichanga. The plate was filling and came with generous sides, so it felt like a great value for the portion size.
The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time, and the staff made the whole experience easy and comfortable. The restaurant itself had a clean, casual atmosphere that works whether you’re stopping in for a quick lunch or sitting down for a relaxed dinner. Everything felt welcoming from the moment we walked in.
Overall, if you’re looking for a dependable Mexican restaurant with good portions and a chimichanga that hits the spot, I’d recommend giving La Cocina a try. I’ll definitely be back to work my way through more of the menu.

The food and margs were amazing here! The service was a little slow, for 3 PM on a Friday. You would think that the service would be more attentive trying to roll tables out or sell more drinks. The happy hour special for the appetizers was really awesome, but we didn’t get to eat more than two bites of the queso chorizo dip before the server took it away and didn’t come back with it. I thought he was taking it away to put it in a to go box, but he took it away to throw it away. Not really sure why that happened.

La Victoria in Cary is absolutely fantastic! The food is fresh and flavorful, and the atmosphere is fun and vibrant. Valerie is truly amazing — she made the visit feel special with her friendly energy and great service. She was also incredibly accommodating with our special requests, which made the experience even better. And don’t miss the skinny spicy margaritas — they’re perfectly balanced, with just the right kick. This has definitely become one of my favorite Mexican spots in the area!

Let’s start off with the salsa and the chips. They were nice and fresh. I ordered the trio bowl and had 2 of the purple drinks. So the price of what one person cost will vary depending on the drinks. Would I go back yes .

This was my first time at La Victoria. I had an early dinner with a friend of mine and we couldn’t have picked a better restaurant.
When you first walk in your greeted with an amazing ambiance and bohemian aesthetics. I had a dinner reservation so we were seated quickly. It was pretty busy for a Friday.
I ordered the birria quesadilla and an elote (corn on the cob). Both were extremely flavorful and the birria was cooked to perfection. It was so tender it just melted with every bite. My friend ordered the enchiladas chipotle which came with rice and pico salad, which was also delicious. The chicken was really good and was complimented well by the chipotle sauce.
Absolutely no complaints. We will definitely be back again especially since it’s right around the corner from work!
