Had a 6:45pm reservation…called at 6:20pm to advise we were running late and would be there by 7pm. Was told, no worries. Got to the valet parking at 7:00pm had my hubby get our table while I waited in line for parking….and when my hubby got to the reception by 7:05pm was told we were late and had to wait for a table. Almost 20 mins went by and a line began to form for those guests now arriving. I approached the reception again and politely asked, “Excuse me, you haven’t forgotten about us, right?” Finally got to our table and the bottle of Pinot Grigio we wanted, they were out. The other Pinot could only be ordered by the glass .
Ordered the “special baked clams” for appetizers and was amazing surprised to see the smallest “special” baked clams ever…I believe these were the same type of little neck clams they use in the meals we ordered .
You would think things would have gotten a bit better…not! Wanted the lobster ravioli…they were out… .
Our bread came after our meals were served.
Hubby got the linguini Positano which had lots of calamari, some mussels, some clams and TWO shrimps. I had the seafood risotto….which was more of a soup consistency….not at all a risotto and had same seafood as my hubby’s and also with TWO shrimps. Our waitress was accommodating and took my “soup” back to the kitchen to be corrected. She was very professional and really tried her best to please us by providing us a complimentary affogato for our dessert.
Would we try La Veranda again or recommend it….sadly not! Was really hoping for a great dining experience as we had a year ago but felt it no longer is a top notch restaurant! ♀️

Went to La Veranda for the first time and loved it immensely! Their statement is true, from right when we walked through the door until we left, we were treated like family! Everyone was great! The owner, Katrina, Chris and everyone in between were very attentive and made sure we were happy! Now, on to the food…hands down the absolute best lasagna I’ve ever had in my life and the people I was with were bragging about how amazing their dinners were too! We can’t wait to go back, loved the service, food and the atmosphere is perfect! This place is fabulous!!! Thanks for making our dinner experience a memorable one!

Amazingly beautiful place in a sort of cool location with amazing staff who Pepper and watch you every moment. However, the food was not as expected. I got lasagna, which was dry and chalky so I needed to ask for a dish sauce to make it vanilla. My wife had a lobster ravioli where the pasta was not just al dente but raw. we ordered a dessert to go, which was the chocolate cake It was obviously several days old again dry not Palatable.
Sad that the three items we ordered were not up to par. Because the location is beautiful and the staff were amazing. Fix the food and this would be a five star.

My wife and I had already looked this restaurant up on the Internet and saw all the wonderful videos of the decor and atmosphere, and the videos were absolutely correct (amazing). We were greeted upon entry and seated shortly after. Our waiter Chris then took our orders and answered any of our questions. His assistant James brought our drinks and starter salad. Through out the evening both of them made regular checks at the table to see if we needed anything. They even went the extra mile to make our anniversary dinner special and brought out a couple cannolis with a candle. These two are wonderful assets to the restaurant and really make the patrons ‘feel welcomed like a friend over for a great meal”…. We will definitely be back when we come to the area again.

Booked a patio table for a Valentine’s Day date. Immediately, my girlfriend’s seat was wet and we had to ask for a different chair. Our table was beneath the tree in the middle of outside which was nice, but leaves and sticks constantly fell onto our table (luckily missed our drinks). We ordered a bottle of wine that took 30 minutes to get delivered.
Our appetizers took a while to come, which is expected because it’s a scratch kitchen. But it was some of the most bland food I’ve ever had. Our calamari was under salted and didn’t even include a lemon and the artichoke hearts were fine, nothing special.
An hour later, our mushroom risotto and branzino came out. Both fine but, again, bland. Then, as soon as we finished eating while waiting for the bill, the person working the front (I assume the owner) asked us if we would move to the lounge because it was a favorite table of a longtime guest. I said sure since we’d been there 2 hours and I wanted others to have a nice Valentine’s, but he didn’t even tell our waitress where we went. I had to track her down to get my credit card back.
Overall, it’s a pretty place for pictures but not great for food.

Wow! My girlfriend and I had an amazing time. We came for our anniversary and it was super fun and enjoyable. The person who helped up was Celso, and he was so sweet and professional. At first when we got here (reservation) it took a couple mins to sit down but once sat, the night went super smoothly. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and some garlic bread. Would definitely recommend. Not only is the food great but they start was super respectful

This is the prettiest resturant in pompano. The hostess Rose was so impressive. She had a very detailed , extensive knowledge of everything on the menu, not to mention the wine list. She was very personable and engaging in conversation with us. The carbanara was authentic as it gets…not cream in this dish….just pure egg yolks like it was meant to be!!! The in house lemoncello recipe was the best most refreshing drink I have ever had. Thank you to you and your staff for a great experience. Rose even talked us to coming back this weekend to enjoy the live music they offer on the weekends.

10/10! After watching the Sopranos we needed some Italian food to scratch the itch. The lobster ravioli was the best I’ve ever had & the spaghetti with meatballs was great, the meatballs were bigger than my hand! Loved the atmosphere and thanks to Katrina and Chris we had a fabulous dinner!

If I could give this restaurant more than 5 stars, I would!! Let me just start by saying thank you! Thank you to the staff and chef for such a wonderful dinner. My husband and I came here for the very 1st time last night to celebrate our anniversary and it truly was amazing. From the atmosphere, to the staff and the food! It was all around amazing! Our waiter Johnny was phenomenal, he apologized to us more than he needed to for the long wait but it honestly was not a bother to us. Gave us more time to talk, relax and enjoy the night. Not to mention, the wait truly is worth it once the food comes out and you take that first bite! The food was made to perfection, the drinks were refreshing and tasty and the dessert, boy could I write a paragraph about the Flan! I have never, in my 30 years, tasted a flan that delicious. Every single bite was better than the last. Kudos to the chef!!! Rose was so wonderful and sweet. She recommended “after dinner” drinks that were delicious. Johnny, not knowing my husband and I were celebrating our anniversary, came out with a “Happy Anniversary” plate with the desserts we ordered which really made our night. Again, thank you all for making our first experience a phenomenal one, you guys are amazing! We most definitely will be back.
