Stopped by on Saturday to pick up some slices and some pies for my family and my buddy. Tried the Sicilian with red sauce, pesto and vodka sauce and it was delicious. I cannot wait to order the Sicilian red top with extra cheese and ricotta and extra sauce on side because that Sicilian crust was as good as any crust I’ve had in Pittsburgh. Also purchased the red top round pie with pepperoni and that was a home run as well. Once again, that crust is awesome. It’s possibly even better the next day after putting in the oven on 250 for 12 minutes. Seriously, good job guys, I will be back.
My buddy got a round pie with pepperoni and sausage and a margarita pie. His family loved it and they’ll be back as well. I should’ve taken a sausage slice as a delivery fee

Such a welcoming place with beyond amazing food! The sauce was flavored so well and made it impossible to have just one slice. The pizza was cooked to perfection with a great amount of cheese and toppings! I left already planning what I am going to get next.
The staff were so welcoming, friendly, and easy to talk to. I felt as if I were talking to friends and family. Can’t wait to eat here again soon!!

Overall, very pleasant experience. Nice staff. Ordered by the slice, which was ready within a few minutes. Pizza had plenty of flavor and a great crust. Happy to have a NY style pizza joint where we can grab a quick slice. Our family will be back.

Always excited to try a new local pizza spot and this one might be the best. The pizza was excellent great crust, quality ingredients, and everything cooked perfectly. What really made the experience stand out though was how nice the staff was. Super friendly and welcoming, and they even offered my kids juice boxes which was a really thoughtful touch. You can tell they care about the experience just as much as the food. Highly recommend checking them out.

Pittsburgh pizza shops have new competition! This place was phenomenal. From the staff, the atmosphere, and most importantly the food. Their menu has a nice variety of things that could cater to anyone’s taste. If you’re looking for a classic Brooklyn slice, this Is the place to go! Their Sicilian is wonderful too! Definitely my new go to for pizza in Pittsburgh! If you’re a pizza lover you got to give it a shot, you won’t be disappointed!

This photo does not do this delicious pizza justice. Slices are huge, right amount of cheese and sauce, and crust has a light crunch with chewy inside. My picky child ate 2 pieces. We will definitely be back!

I’ve had a lot of different New York pizza and cannot say I’ve ever experienced something like this, except at maybe a high school football game concession stand. The cheese was almost completely missing, there was not much more than a few sprinkles of powdery shaky cheese. In addition, this pizza was stone cold, the crust was bland, stale and uninspiring. The Mt. Lebanon area is still missing a good, authentic pizzeria. La Vera is a swing and a miss.

We have been waiting 8 years for a real New York pizza. We went to F&F and thought, this is gonna be good. However it was over priced and bland flavor. Sauce was not remarkable. Then we went to LA VERA pizza and we were so impressed. Flavor of the sauce burst in our mouths and we couldn’t believe how low the prices were. Great staff great food. It’s so good that I would be more happy to order there everyday to keep them in business. Great family and great food.
