This is a local gem. You can tell immediately on entering that it was a well conceived restaurant idea, and extremely well managed. Service is A+. Julio, the GM, is a whirlwind of friendliness and it is contagious – his staff follow his example very well.
Small cozy atmosphere, clean and simple, tastefully appointed… inviting. Very nice menu options – you will find several great dishes that you want, and Julio will be happy to advise.
I selected the New Zealand green mussels this time, very nice, and my wife the skirt steak bavette pinwheels with a mashed potato cloud of creamy luxury and very nicely grilled fresh veggies.
Julio would not see us leave without trying his favorite desert from childhood memories, a specialty of his grandmother in Uruguay. Chajà, he explained, is a peach and yellow sponge cake dream that you simply rest in your mouth, allowing your pallette to work out exactly just what is going on. Very refreshing, satisfying. A culinary dream experience.
This is a place to visit, feel extremely welcomed and at home; nice ambience, a place to plan on returning to sample the things you missed this time…
I obviously highly recommend.
Update: came back for our 48th anniversary and had a wonderful Filet Mignon and Ribeye. Best we have ever had in Utah Valley, 100%. Thanks again Julio and staff, we’ll be back

10/10! Best food in Utah Valley hands down. Definitely a place to bring your friends when you want to show off. You will not be disappointed! I definitely recommend the the Entraña. So tender and perfect. The Beef Stroganoff is the best i have ever had in my life!! The flavor of the noodles just pops!! I also recommend the cheese Ravioli with white sauce. Definitely try the strawberry horchata, and the cuban mojito for a great virgin drink!! 10/10 The service it top notch. Very classy. Our host Julio, and our waiter Nicholas were so great. They made the right so perfect.

Just dumped the cross La Vaca restaurant. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit in the meal. The atmosphere was very lovely not too loud. We went early so not very crowded. The service was excellent or server. I think his name was. Javier was delightful and a terrific job. All the meals, the fish, the ribeye the gnocchi were all fantastic. Also the appetizers we had the empanadas and the beef marrow. All prepared excellent. Looking for the next time we come back here.

The food was amazing! We really enjoyed our meals. We are so glad we found La Vaca on a Google search! It’s just what Utah County needs–a high quality, non-chain steak house! We thoroughly enjoyed the calamari we ordered for an appetizer, and loved our entrées of stuffed chicken and the Entrana skirt steak. The food had perfect texture and was so full of flavor! We will return!

What an amazing experience! The owner, Julio, greeted us at the door and was super friendly. We were seated straight away and our waitress was along promptly. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave good suggestions. We decided to skip an appetizer and just order our entrees. Oh man! What a steak! We got the full porter house, and both sides were perfectly done! The veggies on the side were delightful as well. We ordered the cake to share for dessert and they also brought a complimentary miniature red velvet cake as well. I honestly can’t wait to go back and try something else!

I was very pleased by the food and service. I’m Argentine and love my asado (BBQ). The entraña dish I had was amazing! The piece of steak was quite large and prepared well. My friend had the linguini with clams and loved it as well. I highly recommend this restaurant. If you live in Provo, go check it out. I’m visiting from out of state, so unfortunately, won’t be back for a while.

We went to La Vaca for my wife’s birthday/Valentine’s Day. What first sold us was the way they answered the phone to accept our reservation. The service was so personable and just fun. The food was delicious, especially the Chimichurri. It was a fun place to take my wife. Definitely worth it.

Great steak, service was incredible, and the place is beautiful.
The service is very attentive, multiple people, even the owner comes to check on you. The atmosphere is romantic, cozy, and elegant.
The food itself was great food, very high quality, the steak was cooked perfect medium rare, big portion size.
I just would’ve like more seasoning overall. But steak varies person to person, some people prefer the meat to sing on its own. I like my steak to be the lead of a band.
Must visit though, perfect date night spot.

One of the best steak houses in Utah. The food was very well seasoned and cooked. The steak was tender, soft, and flavorful. The price is of great value for the quality of the food. The staff was very friendly. Definitely will make the drive to eat here again.

Great food dinner for two, entraña is excellent with a unique crisp! Bread to start was warmed and tasted beautifully homemade. Our waiter Javier was attentive, prompt, and friendly. The owner was also great, a good sense of humor, and has a good thing going with this place 🙂
