I’ve been here before, but never eaten here. I was coming in to get Buddy to eat before going to a show at the comedy end. Great vibe, great atmosphere, not crazy about the music, but that’s a mean thing and I’ll own that.

I sat down at the bar and there was about six people at the rapper route bar that probably seats 30. There were another two or three tables with people at them, but the place is mostly empty. Took 20 minutes just for someone to come ask what I wanted to drink and bring me a menu. When I asked for a draft beer, the bartender didn’t know what I was talking about and clearly didn’t speak English very well. He finally was able to let me know that they did not have any draft beer available because the taps were out of service. OK, I asked for a bottle of beer. which he quickly grabbed for me. Then I asked for a chilled glass for my beer. Again, had no idea what I was talking about. He had to go get a manager to figure out what I was asking for. The manager didn’t know what I was talking about either. Once he figured out what I wanted, he informed they didn’t have any chilled glasses. Not off to a great start, but OK. Took another 15 minutes. I got here an hour and a half before the doors opened for the show so I could sit back and relax for a while. Now I’m wondering if I’m going to get my food in time.

I got the steak nachos, which were excellent, but took 30 minutes to make in a restaurant that was mostly empty. If you choose to eat here, the nachos were excellent. A couple at the bar next to me got the taco platter, and that looked excellent too. They said it was really good.

All in all, it was a mediocre experience, but the food was excellent. I was really disappointed they didn’t have any draft beer. The service was atrocious. In the hour and 15 minutes or so that I was there, I think I only spoke to my bartender 3 times. Once to order my food and a drink, once to order another drink, silverware, and napkins, and once to get my check. In his defense he was a young guy and I kind of got the feeling this was his first real job. He seemed a little overwhelmed, but he was hustling and had a smile on his face the whole time. I was disappointed to see that there were between three and five other people who work there pretty much standing around doing nothing. Every once in a while, they would make a drink or bring out some food, but they were mostly just standing around.

Veggie enchilada inedible, made with canned veggie medley, tastes like salty bile. Stupid 42 second ad for the restaurant running over and over next to my head all dinner. $18 tiny margarita! The rudest server EVeR, zero personality. Chewy nasty steak.

Edit: after a horrible experience, the very kind and helpful manager resolved all of our concerns. She is the only thing keeping that restaurant alive.

WORST MARGARITA I HAVE EVER HAD!

My group of 4 saw a concert nearby and walked over for late night snacks and drinks. Drinks took a while to come, and when they did my drink (skinny margarita) was missing and the waitress asked me again what I ordered. When she returned I got something that was definitely not a skinny margarita, it had some kind of fruit syrup in it, and WAY too much of it. This drink was pure syrup. Two other people at my table also got margaritas and they also had the same problem of too much syrup, none of us could finish our drinks. I have NEVER done this to an alcoholic drink…. I will say the food (steak tacos and chicken empanadas) were good, however our waitress didn’t give us utensils, plates to share our food, or napkins. She came and gave us 2 napkins (for a party of 4) when our food was gone. Music is also WAY too loud even for the dance atmosphere at night. I come to the nearly concert venue occasionally but will never return here. Poor service and very poor drinks unfortunately.

Awful. There were only three tables with people when we arrived a little after 1pm, but the service was the slowest we’ve experienced in a long time.

The server was very nice, but there seemed to be a communication disconnect, as it took a few times to understand what we were asking for. None the less I did feel like he cared and was making a genuine effort.

We ordered two flights of margaritas and regretted it with the first sip. There were five supposed flavors, but I couldn’t tell you what flavor they were; they all tasted the same, they were just different colors. They definitely didn’t have much if any tequila in them; they tasted like melted popsicle, but with the acidic burn you get from drinking Sunny D.

We ordered our food, which was actually reasonably priced, even inexpensive, but then waited over an hour to get the wrong the food. The food that was correct wasn’t good, as it was bland and barely warm. No drink refills, no follow up, nothing until they cleared our empty glasses and partially eaten food. Then we waited another fifteen plus minutes for the check. None of us felt great afterwards.

The decor was interesting in a good way and the bathrooms were clean, but it was humid and overly warm for being indoors.

If given the chance, we would never go back.

One of the worst dining experiences I have had. Barely anyone in the place and they are playing music so loud my ears were hurting and we had to yell across the table to hear each other. Waiter was short with us, and seemed irritated when we asked for waters for the table and forgot some of our drinks. He delivered the wrong food and took it back, then came back with it because apparently it was the right food. Later came back and complained about his coworkers to us to explain the poor service we were receiving. When our meals came out our group ate as fast as we could to get out of there as soon as possible. I cannot understate how needlessly loud the DJ was for a room of maybe 25 people, and how terrible the service was. Glad I will never have to experience this place again.

I have ask the DJ multiple times for cumbia for a friend who was hosting her birthday party at this place. He refuse to play what we asked because whyt???? Very very bad service.

In the famous words of Mr. President this DJ SHOULD GET FIRED. It took the waiter to have cumbia and not the one we asked for. We hosted a birthday party here because we figure it was a good atmosphere with a good vibe. Unfortunately the DJ made this day not a very pleasant one. Kudos to the server Angelica who made it possible for us to dance cumbia

Music way too loud for the staff to hear you. I had to get security to help me with getting food because the employees don’t seem to be in tune with customers. Worst experience do not come hear you can listen to the music at home you can’t even hear your friends because the music is too loud just overall 0/10 experience and I never leave bad reviews

Loved this place. We stopped here before a 945 PM show at the Comedy Zone and had a great time. Drinks were amazing. Chips and salsa were perfect and the food being delivered to other tables looked amazing. Very good service and comfortable seating. The DJ played great music and the volume wasn’t so loud we were not able to talk. We left at 915 PM to get in line and it was clear the party was just getting started in La Unica!

Came here for my sister’s birthday party on a saturday night (late night 10:30 pm) event. This used to be La Revolucion but has since changed due to covid. Dj was playing a great mixture of music throughout the whole night. It looks like they added a lot more VIP sections that used to be free for anyone to sit at before they changed names. The outside patio does have a bar and a lot of seating as well, which was a good thing. They do offer hookah $45, which was very smooth, and I LOVED. If you get there before 11pm, it’s free cover. It was not crowded at all, which we loved since it gave us plenty of space to dance comfortably. I’m definitely coming back as it was a great time and no complaints.

This place is in music factory which is a nice little area in Charlotte with venues and restaurants alike. The decor is like street chic, I LOVED IT!! We recommended this place by our Uber driver and she did not disappoint!! The thing that appeal to us was the frozen margarita machine they had and a mid-size dance floor. The food was excellent!! We did get a hooka as well while we were there, but paid a separate vendor and it was $45 for 2-3 hits per person: I don’t know anything about hooka but that seemed a bit much for no more than we got!!
