Excellent food. They are friendly. I tend to think restaurants attached to grocery stores to be a little more authentic, this lived up. I cant wait to go back and try more.

I am one of those people who can appreciate a “hole-in-the-wall” restaurant. This is exactly what that is and a great example of one to love. The cozy atmosphere makes you feel like you have stumbled onto a secret place, which is helped by the entrance to the restaurant. I happened upon a great groupon deal to where I paid $16.40 for 2. meals up to 14.99 each (I believe that’s the price, 12.99 didn’t sound right in my head). My guest really enjoyed it as well and said he would definitely want to revisit.

This was a pretty good place to eat. My wife got the chicken fajitas plate & it was huge, definitely enough for two people to split. I got the carne asada steak with peppers & onions. It was a bit tough but the flavor was good. The beans are actual beans & not the powdered reconstituted paste & my wife absolutely loved them. The Mexican rice was good & their chips & salsa were excellent. I definitely was not disappointed with this place, definitely going back!

Part of me doesn’t want to write this review because I love being able to get my order because they aren’t usually busy. I feel like this is one of the best kept secrets of Urbandale. Food is always flavorful and filling. Not only do you have a wonderful restaurant here, but a grocery full of spices, baked goods and so much more.

When our server brought our drinks, we said we needed a couple more minutes to decide. 15 minutes later, I had to flag down another server and ask him to send her back out. The food came out reasonably quickly. We were very disappointed with what we ordered. My wife got an Al Pator Taco, and said it was flavorless. I got the 3 Meat Burrito, and I didn’t care for the flavor of it either. It came with a large orange puddle under it (Grease? Sauce? It tasted like neither.) It seemed like a popular place with a Mexican grocery attached and plenty of people inside. There was pool, Foosball and video games of some sort.

I liked this place. Great food. A lil slow cause it appears they’re running a Mexican mart as well but the service was great overall and the food was tasty. Ill go back here when I’m in the area.

The food was fantastic, delicious. I love pollo loco everywhere and this was the best I’ve had. Salsa is nice and hot! Stopped in to the market too, for some fruit and candy. Great experience , super nice people!

Didn’t go to the restaurant but went to grocery shop. This market is the closest thing to the ones back in CA. The store isn’t very big but they have so much that you can’t find in a lot of other tiendas in the area. The produce was fresh and reasonably priced, shelves were stocked well and they have so many snack flavors i’ve only found in MX. I will be returning, prices are decent. I will say isles are a bit narrow but that wasn’t a big issue
