I have been a patron of La Tour Experience since they opened. This is hands down my favorite little getaway spot in Santa Fe. The owners, Sal & Lynda are always there, greet me like long lost family and make me feel so welcome.
The croissants are delicious, i don’t know or care if they from frozen or handmade dough, the end result is flakey yummy buttery crumbly. The daily specials, peach tarts, chocolate eclairs etc are always on point. Soups! OMG, French Onion!
Do you see where I’m going here? This is a very special bistro in Santa Fe. Customer service is great, sometimes slow but that’s because your food is lovingly prepared fresh. We need to support these locally owned places so that our amazing culinary scene that SFe is renown for will continue to thrive and feed us.
Oh, I have the pleasure of living a 3 minute walk from La Tour.

Phenomenal soup every time!! Consistency is key and you will find it in this kitchen. Who knew a salad would be so good. Best tea in New Mexico! It’s as if I am in France! Come enjoy the masterpiece. Bravo!!

Everything you could want from a French breakfast in Santa Fe. I recommend the ham and cheese or almond croissant. My wife was very pleased as the tea selection was tremendous. The staff was so lovely and friendly, and the restaurant was very nicely decorated. Also the parking situation is unmatched for a restaurant so close to downtown, it was so easy to get in and out with not much fuss. My wife and I will be sure to return every time we are in need of a French pastry fix.

My wife and I stopped by La Tour. As we asked about their process since were so excited about a new French restaurant in town ! We were told immediately by one of the very nice staff that the owner of La Tour has opted for the same supplier as Clafoutis bakery. Excited to try since Clafoutis is so good, It sounded so promising. We decided to take it to go as we walked back to the plaza. My wife got a quiche, I got a spinach and cheese danish. We were told by the host at the counter that all their baked goods were not made from scratch and all frozen but we should try regardless. She mentioned it was from a company out of Denver. We did not remember the name at the time but finally found it online.
After tasting our food, we were a bit disappointed, my wife’s quiche was so soggy and my spinach and goat cheese danish was still frozen inside.
We remembered also the person telling us, only baked goods and no prepared food were allowed until the Covid situation improves.
Hope they will really up their game, so far we were not so impressed.

This wasn’t the most fabulous food ever, but the service was great. The lady cooking made the food fresh and even offered suggestions. She had a new girl still learning the front, but it was obvious she was trying and the cook, I assume probably owner, was patient with her. Surprisingly she spoke French and English fluent. I didn’t understand her French, but a couple of other patrons did.
I appreciate her willingness to offer suggestions and make the food fresh. If you are near the rail yard, skip the shops directly by them and go here instead

Dropped in for brunch at this newly opened french cafe in the heart of Santa Fe. I had a very tasty mushroom and bechamel pastry and a bowl of the soup of the day, in this case a pumpkin-chestnut velouté. For dessert I had a sample of their King Cake. It was delicious! They have a selection of french teas and a few french foods to purchase for home. They will soon be expanding the menu, including a a crêpe station. I’m looking forward to returning soon.

Amazing!!!! Chef’s kiss! The Royale Omelette was and IS perfect! So many great flavors. Almond croissant …. YUMMMM! So many macaron flavors with the perfect texture and flavor. The beef bourguignon special was a highlight on a rainy day. Comforting – ALL OF IT! Spectacular food and service!

Excellent croissants done right—French rather than American inspired. Sandwiches and quiches follow the same pattern. Service and ambience match the pastries in quality and taste. La Tour is a place to savor the food and experience.

This is a beautiful cafe with excellent food and service. It was difficult to choose just one option. I took a pastry box home filled with authentic, delicate French pastries. Eggs Benedict was perfect! Can’t wait to come back!
