When I tell you this is the BEST Mexican food I’ve ever had, I mean that 1000% as a Latino who has had some great Mexican food in my life.

The chips, salsa, every single item and sauce was made in-house and fresh. The birria chilaquiles were so amazing it felt like we were having a religious experience. Same with the pozole and the tacos. You can tell that all the food is made with love and care as soon as you order it.

If you’re in the Hickory area for any reason, you absolutely HAVE to try this place out.

The pricing is high to begin with. But it’s worth it! The food was unique as compared to normal Mexican restaurants. It’s also unique in that after you pick out what you want to eat and drink, you place your order with the cashier.

I very much enjoyed the green enchiladas. My love enjoyed the beef fajitas. And we both enjoyed delicious margaritas.

The staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. They served the food and regularly checked on us.

The atmosphere was pleasant and full of artwork and tropical plants.

It was perfect for our date night.

Torta was amazing the fresh made chips and guacamole was awesome had the fried plantains with desert sauce will have it again. The tacos and consomme i don’t recommend. It’s was greasy and meat was fatty and consomme as you can see in pictures the layer of grease. Our food came out a bit at a time and they forgot about some of the food. Please recover the sort of white cushions on outdoor chairs. Parking is very little.

Likely the best and most authentic Mexican Food in Hickory. Its a little pricy but everything is made fresh.

It sits at rhe back of a Mexican grocery store and the seating area is filled with plants and part of a closed in outdoor area.

I got the torta Cubana and wowsers. They flatten and bread the steak, which is full of flavor. It was so big, I could barely finish it.

I also got the Michelada with Negro Modello. This was the first place ive been where you bought the beer and they brought you the mix in a mug. Sort of make your own. I didnt care for the sweet syrup mixed with the spicy rim. Im used to just the spicy rim. Anyway, this was quite good and I love the mug.

The flan was the bad takeaway here. It was overcooked and then had a ton of cinnamon added on top. Likely the worst flan ive had.

We stopped in Hickory for a quick dinner and this place hit the spot! There is also a storefront inside the restaurant which was a nice touch. The food was delicious and the service was great! Our food came out in about 10-15 minutes which was not long at all. The green sauce on the enchiladas was slightly spicy but nothing too crazy. I highly recommend coming here!

What a stunning and authentic restaurant and store. Absolutely takes your breath away as soon as you step in. Real Mexican groceries and items takes me back to being Mexico. The only thing I didn’t like is you had to scan a QR code and I am so over QR codes I really would like to sit down with an actual menu and read it and take my time deciding so it did feel a little rushed to order because other people were coming in.

Best Mexican food in town! We’ve gotten take out from Isabella’s several times but this was our first time eating in. The dining area is definitely eclectic but our group was more than comfortable – especially once the food arrived. We tried so many things: tacos, chimichangas, taco salad, quesedillas, chips guacamole, pico with mango, queso, horchata, and margaritas. Delicious all around. Everyone left very happy with full bellies!

I’m from Charlotte NC and found this gem on an unexpected trip to Hickory. First you walk inside a super cool store with a bunch of handmade unique authentic items and then you walk through a beautifully decorated restaurant with lots of plants. When you get your order, it will be absolutely delicious and super fresh. I got the fish tacos, and the tortillas were amazing, the fish was cooked perfectly, and it was the best chipotle sauce I’ve ever had !! If you get the chance, you should definitely check it out!

So first off, the food was good. 2nd tho, pretty sure they have “gringo prices”. 3 beef tounge(lengua) tacos and a grape just was $29 before the 15% tip. That is an utterly insane price regardless of how good it was. Pls notice I said beef tounge tacos, $29 with a drink. No offense but there is no way you charge the amigos that much.
