Solid 4/5 Mexican restaurant. They have menu options that are more authentic than your standard “Americanized” Mexican place. Food is pretty good and staff and friendly and decently attentive. You do need to make sure your order is correct as it appears English is not their first language (perfectly fine, just makes ordering details a bit more difficult). Prices are a bit high for some of their items but are mostly reasonable. TLDR: Come here if you want some reputable Mexican cuisine.

Best Mexican food in Raleigh I’ve had so far. Highly recommend.

I enjoyed the ACP. The beef nachos also seemed to be tasty. A couple interesting points. This restaurant is now La Terraza, the terrace; however, it was formerly El Cerro, the hill. I had dinner here the better part of a decade ago, and I prefer the ACP now. Interesting bit for the vexillologists, they hang the Italian flag above their bar area (which is the mexican flag omitting their coat of arms). Personally, I think a coat of arms is rarely a wanted addition to a flag, but in Mexico’s case its so symbolically resonant of the foundations of the Aztec culture and Mexico’s eventual fight for independence that it serves its purpose far beyond differentiating the flag from a standard tri-color.

Ok, so I ordered a La Terraza trio. It comes with steak, chicken and shrimp. The taste was awful like if it was going bad. To confirm it my partner ordered a steak ala mexicana, it was the same steak she could not eat it. When the server came to our table to ask us how the food was. I told him that it was bad but to check the steak also told him. I was going to pay everything. I just don’t want anybody to get food poisoning. Imagine I been a butcher for 15 years. Well, the server came back after he got a talk with the owner. First of all very unprofessional did not even came to the table to apologize or anything. And gave the server a message to let me know that she tasted the steak and the steak it’s fine and she was going to charge me everything I consumed. I payed and gave the server a great gratification. Even a simple Pineapple juice it was full of ice and not even close to be a pineapple juice. Horchata awful!!!It’s the worst Mexican Restaurant in Raleigh, North Carolina.

We order from here pretty frequently because we like the food, however to go orders are rarely correct. Today I ordered 2 Tirras De Pollo and a pico de gallo, I get home to no pico. I’m upset because I just paid $40 only to get MOST of what I had ordered.

My College Aged Daughter took us here to eat!
All in all I would say this is a decent Mexican Restaurant!
1. Location: the location is fairly easy to get in and out of
2. Parking: no issues parking, plenty of spaces
3. Food Quality: they appear to have use quality foods and ingredients
4. Food Portion: the size of their entrees are good
5. Food Taste: the food taste was okay! It wasn’t bad, it wasn’t great

I went to this place on cinco de Mayo! It wasn’t too crowded considering this holiday. The waiters seemed very hectic and often brought us food we didn’t order because they mistook the tables. The menus were not very comprehensive making it harder to order. I asked what to order and was recommended the chipotle shrimp. I was highly disappointed with what I received. I received a few shrimp and too many beans. If you are looking for a fun place for friends this is the place!

Very loud. The food and service were good. But there was a loud karaoke party. Lots of yelling, and off-key singing.
