We stopped in for lunch at La Tequila Jalisco in Fredericksburg TX. It’s a very well furnished and spacious. We ordered a $12 lunch special. It was very tasty flavors. It came with fresh made tortillas, the fajitas had fresh bell peppers and sauted onions. It also had Spanish rice and beans. As our lunch was cooking, they brought out tortillas chips and amazing Salsa bowls; spicy aioli, Chipotle, habanero sauce and roasted pepper sauce it was super delicious!

When our orders came it smelled delicious The chicken fajitas were tender and savory along with the bell peppers and sauted onions were fresh off the grill. The Spanish rice was delicious and the beans were creamy and smooth. I made 3 fajita tacos from my dish.

The atmosphere was enjoyable and very clean. The Mexican music was not loud, but enjoyable.
La Tequila Jalisco is in a strip mall, so there’s plenty of parking.

I recommend to all my brothers and family. Come out and Enjoy

We experienced very delicious food, served quickly and with a smile! The trio of salsas served with our plates added a special touch. Great casual place to sit down and enjoy a meal alone or with a group of friends. The servers are accommodating and will move tables if needed. We recommend La Tequila to our friends that visit Fredericksburg.

Decent food, good service. Recipes seemed a bit less authentic than we have had other places. Chips were perfect, first salsa was on the salty side, but others were good and spicy. Ranch was also brought to the table with the salsa. Not something we’ve had served with tortilla chips before, lol. Omelette was as expected, but had what tasted like queso sauce rather than actual cheese. Tres leches French toast was essentially just drizzled with condensed milk. Coctel was as expected, but ceviche tasted like diced shrimp topped with pico de gallo.
The staff was attentive and the drinks were never empty.

We went to this restaurant on New Year’s Eve for a quick bite after a bad experience at Alamo Springs Cafe. We were immediately greeted, seated, and drink order taken. Our waiter, Mauricio, was outstanding, and they were extremely busy. We received our food order within 10 minutes of ordering. Mauricio consistently checked on us to ensure we had everything we needed. He engaged in conversation with us as well. The food was great and the portions were enough for two people. We even had leftovers and he quickly brought everything we needed to rake it home, including a bag (without having to ask). He paid attention to detail during the entire visit. Service was so great we went back New Year’s Day for lunch and had the same experience again with another waitress. Mauricio was there, remembered us, greeted us, and thanked us for coming back! This restaurant has established a culture of outstanding customer service!! This is a must go-to restaurant!! You will not be disappointed!!!

Willa Moonbite & Bone Appétit – La Tequila Jalisco, Fredericksburg

Overall Rating: ★★★★☆

The highlight of our visit was the shrimp cocktail—fresh, well-balanced, and a strong start to the meal. The taco and enchilada were respectable but could have used more distinctive flavor, while the chile relleno was underwhelming; Bone remarked he’s had better versions elsewhere.

Service stood out as excellent: attentive, prompt, and genuinely welcoming. The atmosphere was bright and inviting, creating a comfortable backdrop for dinner.

A solid option for casual Mexican fare, with standout appetizers and warm hospitality, though some main dishes would benefit from a touch more refinement.

Bon appétit,
Willa & Bone

My recent visit to this Mexican restaurant left me with mixed feelings.

Let’s start with the chips and salsa, which unfortunately fell into the realm of average. The salsa, too, lacked the vibrant flavors I was hoping for. It was a bit bland.

Moving on to the soft chicken tacos, the portion size was definitely a pleasant surprise. These tacos were notably large, ensuring they filled me up. However, the filling left much to be desired. The chicken was simply boiled and lacked any seasoning or distinctive flavors. I found myself missing the addition of onions or other vegetables that could have added some texture and depth to the tacos.

Even the beans, a staple in Mexican cuisine, left me a bit disappointed. They were cooked with beef, which might appeal to some, but as a vegetarian option, it limited my choices.

On a positive note, the restaurant had a pleasant ambiance and the service was attentive and friendly. The staff was accommodating and willing to address any concerns we had, which was appreciated.

Great food in a tourist town is sometimes hard to find. Their fajitas are to die for. I had a chimichanga packed with meat, my wife tacos ala carbon. The chips are hot and wonderful. Not on the main drag but awesome

We are locals in FBG and have eaten here many times. We wanted to treat our family from out of town to a nice Mexican dinner. No one could even finish their food. We ordered queso flameado and got curdled cheese and no flame! Served with just 2 tortillas. Worst ever. Our nephew had molcajete with no sizzle that he couldn’t eat. He was up all night puking. Our niece had regular crispy tacos. 2 bites were taken. Gross, unsavory meat. Everything was disgusting. Being a local, we will never return to this so called Mexican restaurant.

We had breakfast vouchers from Country Inn Cabins, so we stopped here. Great service, and the food is amazing! Perfect sized portions without it being too much food. I had the Tres Leches French Toast; my wife had the Big Texas platter, and both were great!
Highly recommended, and I bet the rest of the menu is fantastic as well!
