Check out my pic of the capellini with marinara! So beautiful! Delicious too. Dress nice to get seated in the dining room. We were road weary travelers and we were sat in the lounge and we were happy there. Cozy spot, great food, lovely staff made us feel at home. We were highway travelers and the locals can add depth, but we were happy with our meal. But check out my pic of the angel hair pasta with marinara and the fried zucchini (after we demolished half of it). Wow.

We were planning to go to Italian Oven, but decided to give this place a try. HUGE MISTAKE!
The hostess had a personality of a wet mop. The service staff were less than pleasant and not welcoming. The spaghetti was nothing to write home about and the meatballs were the size of a golf ball at $3 each.
The whole experience was just disappointing.
We were hoping for a nice dinner, but I guess we’ll look for that somewhere else.

We had pizza and salad recently and sat at the bar. Just what we were looking for. The pizza has a delicious crust and is almost buttery in flavor. Certainly not your run of the mill pizza joint. Our Caesar salad was fresh and the dressing was perfect.
Go and support this wonderful family owned 35 year business in New Stanton.

7 Ordered food. 6 served. Waitress walked by 6 times before I finally ask where is my food. Everyone finished. Seriously. Never cooked. Lou could care less and blamed the waitress and never apologized. They wrapped up my food to go home. Shame on you all. Then charged me full price. I get home limp thin noodles instead of the fettuccine Alfredo I ordered.. Italian scrod with buttered bread crumbs.. they forgot breadcrumbs. The bread at dinner was stale. Others said it tasted like 3 day old bread. How sad. Last few years it’s been one thing or another. Shame on you all. No customer service and quality out the window. A patron from the 90s since Lou first opened. I will not organize group friend dinners there again. Shame on you Lou

We were so delighted by the food here. We did take out and the fried zucchini was just tremendous- lightly breaded and fried and so tasty!! The ceasar was just the right amount of garlic and creaminess and the chicken Marsala was wonderful. The lemoncello dessert was light and just the right amount of sweet. Such a great find on our trip ! Definitely will be back

The owner came out to talk. All of our dishes were amazing! Highly recommend the artichoke appetizer, eggplant Parm, and salmon Florentine.

This restaurant was outstanding! We stopped overnight in New Stanton midway between Northern Virginia and Cleveland and we were absolutely surprised to have such a five star meal in this little town. Everything from the ambience, the soft music, the service, the drinks, and of course the food were superb. Exhausted from a long drive we just wanted a good drink and meal to simply relax. Our visit was much more than that.
We enjoyed perfectly made Manhattans, freshly made Focaccia bread, Caesar salad with home made dressing, Veal Piccata and Chicken Parmesan, and Limoncello cake with coffee. The meal was one of the best we have had in a very long time.
Louie the Chef/co-owner stopped by to talk with us after the meal. Surprisingly, he used to live in Northern Virginia and is very good friends with the owner (Sergio) of our favorite restaurant (Bonaroti) – in Vienna, Virginia and he asked us to say hello to him. We have eaten at so many restaurants in DC, MD, and VA over 40 years and La Tavola definitely sits in our top 5! We most definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting this part of PA.

Ewww. Just eww. Pictured, is the seafood Capri and chicken Mediterranean. I absolutely DO NOT recommend eating either! The Seafood Capri tasted like death. The chicken Capri tasted like nothing with a hint of seafood . Could not eat. Being as that the food was over $100, My girlfriend called to see if we could get a refund or at least exchange the food to get something at least edible. We were hung up on. Wish negative stars were an option. Terrible food with even worse service.
