I enjoyed my experience at La Taquicardia. I ordered the trio tacos with a consomé. I ordered the cochinita pibil, quesabirria, and barbacoa tacos all with the blue corn tortilla.
From the first bite, you know that the food was made with love, filled with authentic ingredients and flavor. The meat was tender, full of flavor, and the servings were generous. The food truck is right next to a brewery , so you can enjoy the food with a pint. This spot is a must try for anyone seeking a genuine taste of Mexico in East Austin.

I was disappointed to my taco run at a different establishment last night and so I felt the need to redeem myself and try a different location. I am super glad I tried this food truck. The Birrria tacos was by far my favorite and I would say I would come back just to get this. Each taco I got was stuffed with so much meat and definitely worth the price. I would say I did order to go and I wish they gave avocado salsa verde sauce and red sauce. Also wish they put grilled onions on top and a side of chili for every order but that’s just me being picky taco consumer. If they did both those things, instant hit and 5 stars.

I believe this place is a front runner for best taco truck in Austin. I do not say so lightly.
I measure the quality of a taco truck in a few ways: quality of taco, portion of meat, “homemadeness”, price, speed, and love.
This place has it all in spades. SPADES.
They also use the local beer to help with marination. I highly advise you come here!!

I saw this place on an Instagram account and I immediately added it to my must try list…. After trying it I can 1000% say it should be put on the top of yours!!! I personally had the guacamole which was so fresh and delicious, I loved the addition of the pickled onions on the top! DELICIOUS! I also had the quesabirria and the consommé was incredibly flavorful and the birria was so so good. I would come back just to have this again, but there’s so many other things I want to try! My boyfriend also had the mole enchiladas which he dug into before I could get a picture Mole is his favorite food and he is incredibly picky but said this one was delicious! And the salsas are on point as well— it’s just a 10 all around!!

Blue corn tortillas are so yummy! I honestly preferred the barria torta my partner ordered, although these tacos were generously portioned. Great tacos and then grab a beer at the brewery next door!

Honestly the best taco truck in Austin. There hasn’t been anything on their menu I haven’t loved! The staff is AMAZING and you can tell they put so much love into their amazing food. The Birria pizza was one of the most delicious thing I’ve ever eaten (their specials are to die for tbh!) and everything looks so gorgeous too! Don’t miss out on this amazing place!!
