Had a really wonderful dinner. Chocolate soufflé was great and so was the lamb shank with potatoes. My friends who I was with also enjoyed their meals of chicken and fish greatly. Definitely recommend this restaurant! You can see the bell tower from inside as well. & they have a a English menu which we really appreciated

We had the menu of the day: the pork confit and the sirloin steak, and some wine. For dessert, we had the apple tarte tatin. Everything was so delicious. The pork was so tender, the sauce of the steak was so good. The meats were cooked perfectly. The apple tarte tatin is a must try. The dishes were reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and accommodating. We would happily eat here again and we would definitely recommend this place to others as well.

Charming little restaurant serving delicious food. We visited this place for dinner without any reservations and we could pick any table, may be we got lucky as we arrived early. Food was great – we loved the Lamb shoulder Confit with honey and spices. It was perfect and full of flavours.

The layout the day we went was 3 tables of 4 and 7 tables of 2 so be sure to reserve a table in advance. There was only one server and she did a fantastic job of serving the entire restaurant as it filled up between 7:30 and 8:45. Duck confit was a special and it was so delicious. The wine and all the starters, entrees and the dessert we shared were terrific.

What a gem! While wondering round in St Emilion we (4 of us plus small dog) decided we’d look for somewhere to eat. After being met with a few “do you have a reservation? as we’re full”, we stumbled across La Table 38. We were welcomed with a smile and fantastic service! Do not be fooled by its plain appearance, it is a veritable powerhouse of flavours! We had the Lamb, the Duck, the Steak and Vegetarian dishes, as well as a couple of the starters and we were well impressed! The chef is not afraid of packing a flavour punch in each dish. The desserts were all also a hit, especially the fake lemon! Should we ever be back in the area, this will be our first stop!

Great little restaurant off the beaten path. Very small so go early. Super authentic food and the servers are so friendly. Dish of the day was wonderful..highly recommend. Easily one of the best meals we had in France.

There is nothing better than going out for dinner with your friends, and walking out of the restaurant filled with joy from a fabulous experience at a decent price. That hopefully sums up the great meal and evening we had at La Table 38.
Walking into the restaurant was like entering a friend’s home. It is comfortable and open, with tables spread out nicely. The waitstaff are all warm and courteous, speaking French and English as desired. Their passion for very good food and wine was clearly evident with the enthusiastic explanations of the menu. They had wonderful local wines available by the glass and a very good selection of bottles (all reasonably priced) on the wine list.
We each loved each of the different starters, main dishes and desserts that we ordered. Nothing was bad. Everything was prepared with care by the kitchen, well presented, and based on the sharing of eventually clean plates (and happy faces at our table) you could say we were all delighted.
In summary, this charming restaurant will not disappoint. I hope you get to experience a savory meal along with delicious wines in a convivial atmosphere like we did! Thanks again to the hard-working team at La Table 38 for making our night out in Saint-Émilion so enjoyable.
