Highly recommended! This place is a real gem and Andrea is a star! Every piece was a master piece. Buratta amazing, risotto with chandeliers must have, fish and then grande finale with home made tiramisu. Not to mention the great selection of wines including Lambrusco. And you know how to recognize good restaurant? Timing is a king. Andrea let me finish my white wine after halibut and then brought dessert. No rush, pure enjoy and love for food. Coming back in few weeks as they change menu quite often. Andrea grazie mille!

Honestly, finally a real Italian restaurant here in Sweden. No cheesy stereotypes, no watered-down “Italianness” tailored for local palates. It’s like eating at a great restaurant back in Italy, simple as that.
The highlight of the place is definitely the top-quality ingredients and an innovative kitchen that still respects tradition. The dishes are fresh, modern, but taste like home. Super recommended!

Would travel all the way from California to have dinner here again! We were lucky to get a table but Andrea found room in his restaurant for what was Father’s Day here in the US and we were immediately transported from Gothenburg to Northern Italy. The culinary journey started with the asparagus nettle risotto and seamlessly went to the grilled dry-aged fish in a creamy garlic sauce. We finished with a tiramisu that would make any Nonna proud. Make reservations and go to La Strega… the art, the ambience and the food perfectly paired with amazing wine is a combination not to be missed in this beautiful city.

Delicious food, impressive winelist & welcoming service. Also probably the best pistacchio ice cream I’ve ever had. Andrea and his wife is truly such nice people. This is the kind of place you want to return to every week!

The service was exceptional and the food superb. I had the tasting menu and the only thing I can comment on is that the ricotta mousse with nectarine dessert needed a bit more flavour and character the nectarines.

I went with one of my best friends. Our main course was pasta with king crab. Our dessert was pistachio ice cream.
The pasta is a bit thicker and longer than tagliatelle I was told. Our waiter was very friendly about answering all our questions about the food and traditional italian ice cream.
The food overall had a strong, long-lasting taste. It’s up to you if you prefer a big chunk of the food and savouring it after. Or like me; cut it up into smaller pieces and try to combine it with apple cider or some of the bread.
Definitely don’t be afraid to mix and match the taste we all like different things.
Before we talk about the dessert I wanna say that the water was a perfect temperature of cold but no frost bite on your tongue.
So the pistachio icecream: you get smaller pieces, and because they are fresh some of them are a bit more green and richer in taste. I really enjoyed the ice cream and I do not regret finishing off our meal with this.
Special thanks to the bearded waiter I’m sorry we forgot to ask for your name. You were very nice and we appreciate you could help us with our questions and some italian culture.

This is a true gem! Husband and wife delivering a genuine family style restaurant with fantastic food and wine.
The menu changes more or less daily depending on access to produce in season.
Whatever you do, do not skip the risotto!

A unique small genuine Italian restaurant. The food was great and the person who served us seemed to have a great deal of knowledge. Unfortunately he came across as a little superior at times. For me that’s totally fine though – but might clash somewhat with the Swedish culture. If you live in Gothenburg this is definitely a restaurant you just must visit!

Pasta (the pasta itself) was really good. The dishes have a nice homemade Italian flavor but I was expecting a bit more. Great service.

I love this place!
This was the second visit in this restaurant. First time it was delicious. This time I shed a tear over a meal for the first time of my life. Tonight’s highlight was pasta with white truffles from Italy, so simple, so pure so refined. Please do not tell anyone about the place, it will be over-crowded. Thank you, Per
