We weren’t planning on eating here, but decided to stop. We are glad we did! Our waiter, Billy, was great. He went over and above to make sure I got what I wanted. I was craving a meatball sub which wasn’t on their menu, but he went ahead and got me Meatballs and fresh bread, so I could have my sub. The food was amazing. The parmesan crusted chicken was delicious as well as the vodka penne my wife had. Definitely recommend!

I had baked stuffed shrimp, and it was delicious. My husband got the lasagna, and he was not impressed. The beef was like tasteless mush. The French onion soup was also tasteless. My Malibu martini was great. Duncan was a great server, and very attentive.

Englewood needs a good restaurant but La Stanza won’t fill the bill. The food (lasagna and veal Sorrentino) was average and lacked any pizzaz. The waitress Theresa, was slow (too busy?) and I needed to go to the hostess for help who was glad to assist. Happy hour meals are a few dollars cheaper. There was no wait to get seated.

Staff was very attentive and food arrived with proper timing between courses. Our table was appropriately cleared of empty dishes. Kale was a great waiter. Also, I appreciated having cloth napkins and tablecloth for a change! My husband and I both had veal cutlet parmesan which came with salad and bread. The cutlet was a nice portion and very tasty, but the linguine portion was a little skimpy. If you prefer a simple marinara sauce, you will be pleased. However, my husband would have liked a spicier sauce. We shared an order of tarimisu to end our meal. It was to die for! All being said, we had a pleasant evening and will definitely return.

We have made memories at La Stanza throughout the years. We’ve made those memories with our dear friends and our romantic dinners together, the little table beside the railing. Thank you Bill. The bartender you’ve served us very, very good drinks and we thank you for that. You’re the best. And lastly, but not least, thank you for all the wonderful meals. Another treasure of Englewood. Excellent service, excellent food. Our Server Mickey was very professional and attentive. The venue was a perfect blend of class and comfort, and prices very reasonable. I had the Chicken Parm with spaghetti, but I tried my wife’s Fettuccine. The Alfredo sauce was the best I had ever had. We shared a Tiramisu for dessert, and although I found it different from other recipes, the flavor was tantalizing. Absolutely La Stanza is a Must-visit if you are in Englewood. Splendito!!!

If I could give zero stars I would. We used to absolutely love this place. My husband can not go to the restaurant at the time to enjoy a meal for health reasons, so we tried to order take out. The first time I tried, I was informed they were extremely busy and not taking to go’s. Tonight when I called, Janet answered the phone. As soon as I said I would like to place a take out order, she abruptly told me ,”we are not doing take out. Goodbye” and she hung up on me. We will not try again. What a shame. We heard rumor they have been sold. I am starting to understand why.
