We brought guests, one who is gluten free, for our first visit Friday night. The sausage pasta (gluten free) was amazing!! We all shared it as an appetizer and it was actually the favorite of the night. Great wine selection. The bronzino was wonderful and light, outdone though by the veal scallopini. The setting outside was lovely with heaters to make it comfortable. I believe the owners are Brian and Connie (Brian who welcomed us when we arrived and then visited our table). They have created a very warm and welcoming restaurant with elevated Italian food in a very special environment. Their kids I believe can also be found there helping out! Loved it and we’ll be back. This restaurant perfectly matches what I imagine when I think of upscale Italian dining. The food is absolutely delicious, there’s a great wine list, and the service is top-notch. Will certainly be back!

Food was great. I went by myself. Would have liked a bigger bar and more Friendly. Only 3 seats. Bartender seamed super stessed. For a high scale restaurant I don’t think diners, drive ins and dives, belonged on the TV. Too much food. Too expensive. Not relaxing. Wouldn’t go back. No one said goodbye when I left. Spent $130 bucks on one entree and two glasses of wine. Do not recommend.

Visited for dinner around 9 PM. Our server, Elliot, was absolutely outstanding, friendly, understanding, and highly professional. He consistently apologized for the unprofessional behavior of other staff members, and he made every effort to make us feel welcomed and comfortable despite the situation.

Unfortunately, no one informed us when we arrived that the kitchen would close at 9:30 PM. At 9:24 PM, one of the hosts suddenly rushed over to tell us we had six minutes to order before the kitchen closed. While we were placing our order, the manager repeatedly pressured Elliot to rush us, even though we were actively ordering. Elliot handled the situation with grace and professionalism, repeatedly apologizing and trying to protect our dining experience.

The food and drinks were great, but the treatment from the management and other staff left a lot to be desired. For a restaurant of this caliber, guests should be informed upfront about kitchen closing times, rather than being rushed midway through their visit.

Huge credit to Elliot for his outstanding service, he deserves to be recognized and promoted. Management should seriously reconsider how they handle late-night guests if they want to maintain a true five-star reputation.

This is long overdue, but I have enjoyed La Spiga for years. It is one of my favorite restaurants for celebrations and fine dining experiences. The patio is absolutely gorgeous, the entire team is so kind, welcoming and do an impeccable job elevating your dining experience. Their food is fantastic. My personal favorite is the white truffle pasta. I have gotten many of my friends and clients hooked on that pasta. Needless to say, if you’re looking for a fine dining experience with a bit of old school charm, and a team of really kind and good humored people, I highly recommend La Spiga.

Have meant to dine here for years. Meter owner and same intensity to deliver exceptional food and service. Great wine list. Best prepared to enjoy the relationship with your server to have the best experience. It’s well worth it.

We’re here from Seattle and have been staying at a friend’s place in Palm Desert for the last nine days. Most evenings have involved dinner out, around the valley in Palm Springs, La Quinta, PD, etc. La Spiga has been our favorite. The staff is incredibly hospitable (our server was Cargo-attentive, delightful guy!), the menu and food incredible, and the atmosphere (we ate on the patio-beautiful) amazing. It’s pretty obvious when you find yourself at a family-run restaurant; the attention to detail and care of customers is apparent. That’s the case here. Highest recommendation.

Excellent food and super nice staff. We stumbled upon this restaurant by sheer chance as the ramen place we were headed had closed, and we saw this restaurant nearby. Lucky us! Loved everything we ordered thanks to the excellent recommendations from the server. We got the burrata salad, couple of soups and the pork sausage pasta.

Highly recommend this place!

I have been a customer of LaSpiga since they opened their first restaurant. In my opinion, the owner and chef, Vince, was the best chef in the Coachella valley. The restaurant was recently sold, but my husband and I continued to go, knowing that the kitchen staff could still deliver the same high quality dishes. Unfortunately, after one of the worst experiences at any restaurant in town, I felt compelled to write this review. We invited 2 guests who are new to the desert. It was clear that the previous wait staff had left, leaving only untrained inexperienced people. First of all, to get a waiter to take our order, was ridiculously long, but ok, we didn’t want to make a fuss in front of our guests. When we finished our first course, we couldn’t get anyone to clear our plates for at least 1 hour. I finally went to the front desk to tell Joy about it, as there was not another person in sight to tell. She apologized and said she would mention it to the owner. Eventually, a busboy cleared the table, but when the second course FINALLY arrived, we were without proper utensils. We said 3 times we needed forks, knives, etc…they grabbed from an empty table and it still wasn’t enough, so I went and took from another empty table (which there were plenty of). It didn’t help that the server spilled the artichoke sauce for my fish all over the side of my dish on the tablecloth and my chair. Someone brought a napkin to cover the spill, but it wasn’t enough so I had to go and get another napkin from the empty table I stole the silverware from. So much for not wanting to make a fuss! We then ordered a profiterole dessert plus “3 different flavors of gelato with a special banana” as described by our waiter. We all thought it was one bowl or boat of gelato with a special banana topping. Out came 4 separate bowls of gelato with flat plates to eat on. Try eating a spoonful of gelato on a flat plate!!! You need 2 spoons in order to just get it on a spoon. At this point, I didn’t want to make a fuss and we all left the gelato. Then someone new comes over and apologizes with an after dinner drink which they normally serve and only one person drank as if this makes up for our horrible experience. My husband paid the bill and left a generous tip as he didn’t think it was necessarily the waiter’s fault. The staff just hasn’t been properly trained and the management is more at fault than anyone. We have no plans to ever go back and I’m sure our friends never will either.

Food was exceptional, but our service was very disappointing. Especially after all the great reviews and how special people treat you. It took 15 minutes to get a taste for wine. No one ever checked our meal and it was very disappointing.
Especially when we’re spending more than $100 per person on our meal
