It’s a beautifully decorated, large space with plenty of tables. The atmosphere & ambience was warm and inviting. When you enter, you proceed to the rear to order/pay. The service was impeccable, with our food brought to us by a staff member in a white chef jacket and French scarf. I loved it. I will definitely be back.
Fishkill is a great walking town too. Enjoy the Fall colors, as you walk down the main street, Rte.52.
The service was courteous and efficient. The restaurant is spacious and a pleasing atmosphere.
The oat milk is also not a barista quality, tastes off and not like other coffee shops. Tastes more like a “Planet Oat” or a “Chobani”, or something of the sort and it’s very obvious it doesn’t taste right. It tastes like an oat milk that is NOT meant for heating and steaming and it’s distinct.
If you provide dairy alternatives, it would be nice it they were the barista quality varieties, especially for the price. It’s also what the local competition provides, to offer the highest quality and value.
Beautiful place otherwise and wonderful atmosphere, just wish it was up to par with service and quality, like its local competition.
1/2/2026 – Thank you kindly for the response. Pacific, barista or not, doesn’t seem to heat well, there’s an aftertaste, which is why I never returned for coffee and why I thought it might be helpful to share feedback. I would have loved to have returned for coffee otherwise, truly — it’s a lovely environment. Oatly and Minor Figures tend to be more like milk, in taste and blending.
Appreciate the help.
Happy & Healthy New Year to All!
The sandwiches came out pretty quick, which was nice. We enjoyed the prosciutto option and egg option, and the avocado test was pretty decent too. The Nutella stuffed croissant was large enough for 2 and fairly enjoyable. The Pistachio latte, on the other hand, is a complete train wreck. I still can’t understand how they got so far off from what an actual Pistachio latte is. Starbucks even does a better one, it’s bizarre.
The atmosphere was clean and busy for a Sunday brunch period, however, I am concerned that they built this restaurant for Easter Sunday rather than a typical Sunday service. Meaning, they likely don’t get as much business during the rest of the week and I’m worried it may struggle to stay open for a few years or possibly reduce hours to account for this.
The value is probably fine here, and I don’t think I was disappointed, but I also don’t think I’ll make a trip to return any time soon. Overall, it was fine.
Update 10/9/24 – so I went back and this time with a friend who travels the world and he says no, this isn’t like a classic Italian cafe, it’s like an NYC cafe, so I stand corrected. We got egg sandwiches, which were okay, but nothing exceptional and a bit skimpy. I also got another almond croissant and unfortunately they didn’t heat it up. When I asked a waiter if there was someone to whom I could offer a friendly suggestion, he said to tell him. So I made the suggestion that when someone orders a baked good to dine in that they ask if you would like it warmed up. To my surprise he said, “oh we do that, you should have asked”. To which I replied, “if you do that, it would be nice if you offered to do it since I would have no way of knowing.” So I’m bumping down my service rating. We’ll see what it’s like the next time.
