Reviews
The waitress are all beautiful and super kind. Very attentive to your needs and hears you out. Popping music is usually always playing, wish there was a dancing section to be honest
I’ve come here a few time and everytime is great! Drinks are crafted well and are mouth watering good! I always get the tacos gobernador. Every. Time. It’s. Amazing.
The portion is also so large I always go how with left overs.
If your aim is to enjoy a quiet, Friday night dinner with your partner while savoring authentic Mexican cuisine, this may not be the ideal choice. However, if you relish the combination of lively music and a vibrant atmosphere, this place is undeniably a good choice.
To start off, we tried their margarita flight, and I must say, it was fantastic. The balance of alcohol and flavor was just right, providing a delightful mix of tastes. Both my daughters ordered the Jamaica, and they both gave it a perfect 10 out of 10 rating. It seems like they really nailed the recipe for this drink. Personally, I opted for an horchata, and it exceeded my expectations. Creamy and flavorful, it was truly a treat.
Moving on to appetizers, we decided to indulge ourselves with a dozen oysters. They were fresh and absolutely delectable. However, the highlight of the night was the langostinos. Cooked to perfection, these succulent crustaceans were by far our favorite dish. Every bite was bursting with flavor, leaving a lasting impression on our taste buds. The guacamole was nothing short of perfection, perfectly balanced and complementing the dishes wonderfully.
What’s more, the restaurant also offers an outdoor patio, which was a great addition for us as we had our dog with us. It created a lovely ambiance, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. Additionally, if you happen to visit on a Friday evening, you’ll be treated to live music, and on Saturdays, they even have karaoke.
All in all, “La Sexy Michelada” exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely be returning. This spot has become our go-to location for Marisco cravings. Whether you’re planning a romantic date night or a family outing, this restaurant caters to both. With their delicious food, friendly staff, and great ambiance, you won’t be disappointed.
FOOD: They have reasonable lunch specials available from which we ordered the chicken enchiladas & al pastor street taco. Both were great & very tasty. I also had a craving for chilaquiles so we ordered that off the regular menu and my cravings were very well satisfied. We forgot to order the highly recommended shrimp empanadas but that’s a perfect excuse for us to go back soon!
DRINKS: I mean they are truly one of the highlights of our meal. The signature “La Sexy Michelada” was one of the best I’ve had. It literally had a whole half of a mango seasoned with chamoy & tajin balanced on a tamarind candy stick in a large glass mug liberally rimmed with chamoy & tajin. The michelada itself was perfectly made IMHO. My aunt ordered the Margarita Flight and she thought every single one was delicious & unique. Her personal fave was the cucumber margarita & mine was the mango margarita.
The food was not very good and expensive. We ordered 3 items:
– shrimp ceviche: shrimp did not taste fresh. $16
– al pastor and chicken quesadilla: big quesadilla served with sour cream and guacamole. Nothing too special here except it’s $15
– salmon salad: a piece of overcooked salmon served over a bed of romaine lettuce, sliced red onions, shredded cheese, and saltine crackers (not sure who decided to put saltine crackers in a salad). $21
We also each got a michelada, and our lunch was $100 total. Crazy!
For $100, we could’ve gotten a much better meal.
