Went for a recent birthday and had a reallt lovely experience. It was my first time (in memory) of trying “Spanish” food. It was delicious! Staff was very accommodating and even provided us with candles for the cake we brought. Highly recommend the vegetable Paella!

Stopping at LaSalSa Restaurant was a spur of the moment decision as we were on our way to a different place. The street level look is underwhelming and we had walked past quite a number of times. However, once you descend the stairs 2 floors you are met with a warm and inviting decor. We sat inside since it is still hot. We sampled from the Tapas menu and were delighted. This was combined with quality cocktails and sangria. We found their meat dishes were the strongest, most flavourful dishes we tried.

We arrived and there was a group function with really loud music and speakers. We were seated downstairs next to the loud music. We didn’t realize there was an upstairs area available until we saw other customers taken up there. I don’t know why they didn’t give us this option, as the music and noise from the function was excruciating. Anyway…we have no issues paying high prices for good food. However, this was not the case this time. We had high prices and not great food. Wine was way over priced as well. Layers of lamb dish was around 500k and it was so chewy we could not finish it. Staff never checked on our meal. Blue cheese dish was just sliced cheese from the supermarket. Very disappointing dinner as we have been meaning to come here for some time and it was a big let down.

We spent our Valentine’s here. It is a nice n romantic place for couples with both indoors n outdoors seat.
However, the food n drink is just ok not really as tasty as I expect. The Valentine set is not really impressive. The fish is really cooled down when it is served to us. The beef is a bit chewy. They served the food so slowly even though it was one menu only that day.

Went there with several friends for a late and it was empty. Staff were definitely friendly. Food was great, tasty and large serves. The main courses were abit slow coming out and we had to chase up on the paella. The tapas were great

Nice view for lunch with outdoor sitting. Most of what we ordered were good, except squid was abit over done and too tough. The French onion soup was really good. Paella was not exceptional but still good.

I and my boyfriend had dinner here on a Saturday night.
What we really enjoyed:
1. Romantic ambience – soft golden fairy lights & Hồ Tây literally by your side. The dining area was airy with very high ceiling and big windows. I expect the place to be very beautiful during daytime hours too with the natural lighting.
2. Drinks and desserts. We had mango smoothie, lychee iced tea, and chocolate ice cream – all three were great.
3. Serrano ham was *chefs kiss*, and their cognac pate was delicious too.
What could have been better for me:
1. The tortilla was bland and just very meh. I was expecting a lot when I ordered the dish as the last time I had tortilla (also my first) was at Barrafina – a 1 Michelin star tapas place in London – where they served the best prawn tortilla oozing with all the savoury prawn juice and it was sooo flavourful I could never forget the taste.
2. The other dishes were not bad but they were lacking something to be exceptional. The seafood in the paella was a little underwhelming with a lot of basic white clams.

Food is overpriced and made poorly. I’ve never eaten such poorly made pasta at the restaurant
French onion soup was okay, but not for the price they want for it. Paella was blank

Honestly, at this point my cooking skills is better than this restaurant’s staff

Also, they require 8% + 5% additional charge over the already high prices

Very disappointed.

Only stop by for some tapas and afternoon drink. The place is located below a small bakery. It has a hidden bistro vibe to it. The service is friendly. Menu seems to have decent options for Spanish foods. The place could use a bit better maintenance though.

Review based on sangria and atmosphere only.

Nice spot. Good staff. Horrific red sangria. Went sangria hopping and ordered a carafe here. Fruits are floating in there, but can’t taste anything except for the stale wine…

I will visit again to try their food though.
