The food was very good and you could have also a refill of the meat and the chips. The service was attentive and explained to us everything.
The thing I didn’t like is that in order to enter in the restaurant all the people of the reservation should be present.
They made us wait for our friend in the cold for about 15 mins before we were allowed to enter, even if the restaurant was empty when we arrived. (The hosts could be more kind)

We waited more than an hour for a table, which was not something unheard of. Yet, our whole group has been to the restaurants in Paris and hasn’t faced such a queue.
After we got seated, we immediately got menus and then were served salads. The salad was perfect. However, after that we had to wait more than 35 min for our main. The meat was also served rather tempered than hot, but was still okay. The taste and the sauce were a bit off, but the fries were great. The staff wanted to compensate us for the long wait so they offered us wine or dessert on the house, which was very kind.
The environment was very loud and it was difficult to hear the people you were with.

Simplified menu: it’s all about Entrecôte.
Peu good but I’d prefer the sauce to be served on the side, even though I liked it not everybody does.
Price is 35€ including water.

I don’t really understand the negative reviews saying the food is not as good as the Relais de Venise in Paris. Actually the French fries at La Rue are really mind blowing, even better than in Paris. And regarding the rib eye sauce, here again it is surprisingly better. The original recipe mixes the smooth sauce with an overcooked part of itself 50/50: so it gives an oily texture. But at La Rue they don’t respect this process, the sauce is evenly smooth, and actually it is… much better, more creamy, and perfect to fit the rib eye tenderness. My humble take.

I cannot begin to describe how good this place is. The staff are kind, service is fast and the food is magnificent. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cosy and beautiful. The meat was so soft and juicy whilst the French fries were super crispy! I definitely recommend this as a Must Try if you are in Milan!

The restaurant has a lovely Paris-style atmosphere, and we waited about thirty minutes to be seated. The entrecôte was decent.
There were plenty of staff, but they seemed a bit confused, and the service felt rushed — almost as if they were told to move very quickly, which made them overlook small details and lose some of the usual courtesy. At one point, they cleared the bread plate so fast that crumbs fell on the table and even on my friend, which was not pleasant.

Overall, a nice setting, but the service could definitely be smoother.

La Rue is a cozy place with a nice French look and atmosphere. During peak hours or weekends you’ll probably have to wait in line — the staff really tries to be efficient, but the place is often so crowded that timing can get a bit tricky.

The food is good overall: the meat was decent, though a bit chewy in my case, while the fries were excellent — crispy and flavorful. The signature sauce is nice (though that’s personal taste). You definitely need to go for the second round of both steak and fries to feel satisfied.

I had a Heineken — nothing special, but served very cold and super refreshing. I didn’t try desserts because the place was too busy.

Overall, what you pay is what you get: fair value, good vibes, and I’d definitely come back.
