Last weekend my wife and I enjoy a delicious white sangria, actually two of them each. The food was good. We tried the tuna and the Grandma pizza very thin crust. Everything was delicious and the ambience was very cozy.

Everything about this place is fantastic except that it’s in close proximity to the Andrew hotel in Great Neck Long Island and that place is terrible I really think that Italian food is the best and I think that if you think it’s the best you would love this restaurant. The waiters are super friendly and they know what they’re talking about definitely stay for dessert if you like cheesecake OMG that cheesecake is the best. I love cheesecake can you tell? LOL cheesecake forever

This is my first google review, and I am super pleased to give it to La Rotonda. We went for the Halloween party that they had, and it was a total blast. For 50.00 /pp we ate and drank, and had music. This is exactly what Great Neck needs, to bring the town a bit more night life. Maria and her father Luigi were fantastic hosts. Cant wait for the next party.

Farfalle Toscana was outstanding! Definitely recommend. They don’t make the pasta in house, but they do it up right.
Great for date night or a family meal.

I had a pizza Rustica with fresh tomatoes and mozzarella and I added fresh garlic. It was completely and utterly tasteless. Even the brick oven didnt help it. It was not just the toppings, the dough was equally tasteless. I tried adding garlic powder, oregano, pepper flakes and pepper – alone, in different combinations and all together. Nothing could save that pizza.
Also when we were seated b4 I ordered, they brought a bread basket. It included. bread and foccacia that was evidently intended to be warmed – it wasn’t, except some vague evidence of it. There was literally one slice of bread per person – and one lone piece of foccaccia 1.5 inches by 1.5 inches. The best thing I had was the soda I ordered.
I had been there b4 and forgot why I didn’t go back. I recall now. I won’t be going back again.

This has to be the worst restaurant in Great Neck, or anywhere. I’ve found better in impoverished third world countries. The way overpriced food is abominable and the service is worse than the food. The place should be renamed La Rotten. After being ignored and waiting hours to get served, the moldy cold pizza finally arrived and the pasta seemed like it came out of a can. The house wine tasted like vinegar and I’m sure the bottled water came from a garden hose. Hospital food is gourmet in comparison. They are now frequently empty and you still have to wait a long time to be seated and served. The waiters and other staff (who are all Hispanic and not from Italy although they pretend to be) are downright rude and hostile, openly provoking customers and blatantly telling people with children that this is not a family restaurant. They rudely advise that you go elsewhere if you have children (Is that legal?). Maybe they should pack up their tent and THEY should move elsewhere, like the middle of the desert. I suspect that any of the other favorable reviews were either from family, friends and staff of this restaurant or that these people must have been on heavy non-prescribed medication. Not surprisingly, La Rotonda closed their other restaurant nearby on Middle Neck Road, but it was actually better than this monstrosity. Their mistake was that they didn’t close both restaurants at the same time.

I’ve been a regular here for years. Love love love their chopped greek salad with grilled chicken. Excellent meal that I get without onions or pepperoncini. When you get it chopped, the bite-sized portions are easy to eat and in my opinion, delicious.
Another great item is their lentil soup. Add a little parmesan cheese and you’ve got a delicious soup for cold weather or even on a hot day.
What makes this restaurant really special is the ambiance. It really feels like you’re in an idyllic setting in another country when you look around at the artwork and the decorations on the wall.
if you’re in Great Neck visiting, I highly encourage you to stop by one of my favorite restaurants. (By the way, I grew up in this town and have a good idea of which restaurants are Ok, which are really good and which are excellent.) This one is consistently excellent.

The pizza does not have good flavor, the tomato sauce is poor in seasoning and is not thick enough; it felt more like tomato chunks rather than a sauce. Overall very bland pizza.
