Our visit to La Romanita was a mixed experience, with clear strengths in food quality and hospitality balanced by noticeable gaps in basic service protocol.

Upon arrival, we were seated without any initial introduction from our server. Shortly after, a different server introduced herself as Lisbeth, whose professionalism and warmth significantly improved the experience. She was attentive, courteous, and genuinely welcoming throughout the meal.

As an appetizer, we requested bread, but were informed—politely—that it was unavailable. While understandable, it set an early tone of inconsistency. For drinks, we ordered a Caipirinha and an Old Fashioned; both cocktails were well crafted, balanced, and enjoyable.

The appetizers were visually appealing and delivered excellent flavor, setting a positive expectation moving into the main courses.

For entrées, we ordered the Snapper Lemon, which was nicely presented with a pleasant, well-balanced lemon sauce, and the Bistesón, which was cooked to a good point, flavorful, and paired with appropriate sides. The kitchen clearly demonstrates competence and consistency.

The ambiance is pleasant and comfortable—ideal for a relaxed dinner. However, a notable oversight was that water was never offered, a basic service expectation, especially for a sit-down restaurant aiming for a higher standard.

Final Impression

La Romanita delivers solid food and quality cocktails, and Lisbeth’s service stands out as a strong positive. However, inconsistencies in front-of-house fundamentals—such as server introduction, bread availability, and offering water—prevent the experience from feeling fully polished.

Overall: A good dining option with clear potential. With tighter attention to service details, La Romanita could easily elevate the experience from good to excellent.

Not worth your time. The churrasco steak was low grade meat and was salty. The blue cheese gnocchi not very good. I had to mix with red sauce to give it flavor. To top it off they charged for the sauce in a small dish $5.00 as a side item. Talk about nickel and diming. The hostess/waitress was attentive and very pleasant. They kept playing the happy birthday song at maximum volume. Very annoying when your trying to have a quiet evening. Very disappointed.

I’ve been here several times. In the past it’s always been for dinner. This time I went for lunch. I have to say, the experience was not good. But more importantly, I was charged $6.50 for a can of Coca Cola! Which is around $.70 or even less for restaurants that buy wholesale. That’s 9 times the cost or 1100% mark up. Pictured is their margarita flatbread and the Rabo risotto, the only two items that I had along with the coke and a water that was also $6.50. Bringing my total bill to $80 with 18% gratuity already included, of course!

La Romanita is a fantastic restaurant that delivers both great food and a great atmosphere.

The food was excellent. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared, with rich flavors and beautiful presentation. The pasta dishes were especially delicious, and the pizzas had a nice crisp crust and flavorful toppings. You can really tell the kitchen pays attention to quality and detail.

The service was friendly, attentive, and professional without being overwhelming. The staff made sure everything came out on time and checked in just enough to make the experience smooth and enjoyable.

Overall, La Romanita is definitely worth visiting. Great food, inviting atmosphere, and solid service, we’ll absolutely be coming back.

I have been coming here since October 2024. Today, we had the following. We started with the fish croquettes, which were delicious. For my entree, I went with the Pollo Cordon Bleu that comes with two sides: choose the Yuka frita and the white rice. The portion of the Cordon Bleu was generous. I liked the sauce, especially mixing it with the white rice. My guest had the arroz frito. The two of us had to take the rest home. For dessert, I had the tiramisu, and my guest had the arroz con leche. Both desserts were just the right amount of sweetness. Our server, Amanda, was tentative and explained the menu items clearly. I will be looking forward to the next visit.

I rarely leave reviews, but I was shocked by my experience here, especially given the high prices.

We clearly ordered a “lobster bisque soup” and were instead served a seafood soup we never asked for. When we questioned it, the waitress explained that because we said “lobster bisque” rather than “cream of lobster,” she assumed we wanted a seafood soup and that we would be fine with all the other shellfish in it. That assumption was careless and left us with something we did not order.

My NY strip (ordered medium rare) was tough, under-seasoned, and overcooked. I couldn’t eat it and ended up taking it home for our dogs instead. My boyfriend ordered the surf and turf, which was also inedible — the lobster was rubbery and overly fishy, and his steak was served medium well without anyone asking his preference.

Overall, the service was okay, but the food was barely edible and the prices were unjustifiable. From a $250 bill, the only thing we actually enjoyed were the mashed potatoes. For what we paid, I expected much better quality and care.

I had an excellent experience at La Romanita Restaurant and Lounge. The service was top-notch when we arrived—friendly, fast, and professional. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for a quiet dinner or sharing a meal with family and friends.

The food was simply spectacular. Every dish was flavorful and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. You can feel the love and dedication in the kitchen. I especially recommend [mention a standout dish] — an absolute delight!

I’ll be coming back. It’s one of those places you truly enjoy recommending. Congratulations to the new owner and the whole team!

Disappointing First Visit – Not Returning

This was my first time visiting this restaurant and I had high hopes walking in. The atmosphere initially felt inviting and comfortable which gave me a good impression at first. Unfortunately the rest of the experience did not live up to that.

Our server started off fine but as the meal went on her attitude became noticeably unprofessional and unpolite. It felt like we were more of an inconvenience than guests, which definitely impacted the overall dining experience.

As for the food, it was disappointing. What I ordered was overcooked, the meats were fatty and the presentation was lacking. It didn’t feel like much care went into the preparation or serving of the dishes.

To add to the frustration, an automatic 18% gratuity was added to our bill for a party of three people. Gratuity should be earned and left at the discretion of the customer, especially when the service was clearly lacking.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews but I feel it’s important to be honest so others are aware that not all the glowing reviews reflect every experience.

This was our 3rd visit and we were very impressed! Food was definitely much improved. We tried a new dish that wasn’t on menu yet. I believe it was like a smoked ham shank with a mango salsa which was like sweet and sour. Delicious. Huge portion. My husband and I shared it along with mashed potatoes and assorted veggies which were cooked perfectly! We enjoyed the calamari as our appetizer and of course 2 nice glasses of Malbec. Our server Helen was absolutely wonderful. She was attentive, knowledgeable and checked on us often. The ambiance has always been lovely. We were very happy we visited again and have already recommended for other to go.
