Fijate que my experience wasn’t that bad ♂️
It was 9pm on a Friday and I really wanted pupusas. I’m not from Woodbridge but I was in the area so I tried ordering over the phone but they didn’t answer. I read the reviews and almost didn’t go but the pupusas were calling me. There were only 4 people dining in when I showed up to place my order. I ordered 5 pupusas to go and a pastelito. They said they didn’t have any pastelitos but I wasn’t trippin. The overall process is what I expected
– 15min wait time
– $2.50 ea (Never pay more than $3 btw)
– Revuealta is pork, cheese and bean
– You can pick up the pupusas and it won’t fall apart right away, a little bit of burnt cheese on the sides
– 2 little bags of red sauce and curtido each
I say a solid 8 out of 10 overall for the food
4 stars for not picking up the phone
Now, would I bring a family of 8 here and expect amazing food and service, probably not. Would I order soup from here? Lol, no. But I would come back for their pupusas to go.

I went to their new location in Manassas, VA with a couple of friends and it was great! The food and service was really good! I tried their Lomo Saltado complimented by their ‘Jugo de Tamarindo’ and it was delicious. The Lomo Saltado was mouth-watery tasteful and the Tamarindo juice tasted just like the Salvadoran original!

Do NOT come to this restaurant. The service is slow and terrible. I waited 45 minutes for my food. Absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention, they add an automatic tip if 5+ people dine in. I go to restaurants all the time with my family, I have never had to wait over 45 minutes for food. It wasn’t busy either. The food was terrible and salty. Don’t waste your hard earned money on a place like this.

The service of this place was EXTREMELY terrible today. The “manager” that I spoke with was what made this situation worse what it already was. Here what happened: I wanted to do a takeout of 10 pupusas, and they put in an aluminum foil tray that was easy to bend, very hot, and greasy. (Now this was strange to me because I usually go here often and they typically put the pupusas in a styrofoam container inside a bag.)
On the way out, I had to open my car door, and the tray fell because it was HOT and greasy (and this happened just outside their door). So what did I do next? I went inside to see if we could do something and the cashier was rude and said it wasn’t their problem, that I should’ve held the edge of the aluminum foil (which I did). Instead what they said was they could give us 20% percent off. Like seriously?
The current “manager” and the cashier is what ruining this restaurant. As I mention before I go here often with my family members (usually take out) and for this to happen was just awful.
Fortunately, I did speak with the owner (with no help from the manager) , and I know that they have nothing to do with what happened and she was able to help me with a refund. But for me to go through this? Terrible.
El servicio de este lugar fue extremadamente terrible hoy. El “Gerente” que hablé fue lo que hizo que esta situación fuera peor lo que ya fue. Aquí lo que sucedió: quería hacer un orden para llevar 10 pupusas, y pusieron en una bandeja de papel de aluminio que era fácil de doblar, muy caliente, y grasoso. (Ahora esto fue extraño para mí porque normalmente voy aquí a menudo y suelen poner las Pupusas en un recipiente de espuma de poliestireno dentro de una bolsa.)
Al salir, tuve que abrir la puerta de mi coche, y la bandeja cayó porque era caliente y grasosa (y esto sucedió justo fuera de su puerta). ¿Qué hice ahora? Entré a ver si podíamos hacer algo y la cajera era grosera y dijo que no era su problema, que debería haber tenido el borde de la lámina de aluminio (eso es lo que yo hice). En cambio, lo que dijeron fue que podrían darnos un 20% de descuento. ¿En serio?
La “Gerente” y la cajera es lo que arruina este restaurante. Como mencione antes mi familia y yo venimos aqui a menudo y para que esto pasa…horrible.
Por suerte, puede hablar con la dueña (sin la ayuda del gerente), y sé que no tienen nada que ver y me puedo ayudar con un mi reembolso.
¿Pero para pasar por esto? Terrible.
