Went on Friday night so quite busy by the time we arrived for our booking at 6.30pm. The place has a lovely cosy ambience. We enjoyed the buffalo mozzarella entree with the nectarine. The tagliatelle pasta was on the softer side for me but overall both mains were decent. The tiramisu was a generous serving but not quite to my palate (my friend loved it). I much preferred the panna cotta, which was recommended by the staff. All the food came out pretty quickly despite the busy night.
On to a slight con, when we asked for the dessert menu we were told we had 5mins to order. I was confused because it was only around 7.25pm and our booking was for 2 hours. I asked for clarification and was told not to worry, as we would still have 50mins to eat. I must have misheard and she must have said 15mins, because by the time we finished dessert around 7.40pm, she returned with the bill and the eftpos machine. We were told we’re welcome to move to the bar but they needed the table back.
I even checked with my friend multiple times to make sure our booking was indeed for 2 hours as on the confirmation. We weren’t planning to stay on anyway so didn’t bother asking, but it wasn’t the nicest note to end the night on.

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner on Valentine’s Day. Immediately I was captivated by the romantic atmosphere of the place- candlelit tables, jazz music, and warm interior lighting.
The food was absolutely delicious. This was our first time trying fancy / fine dining, and it’s safe to say that La Riviera has set a new standard for food hahaha. The dishes far exceeded my expectations, cooked to perfection and was super filling, I didn’t feel too heavy after finishing the three course meal : D
And of course, the service was impeccable. We were served by Jacob for most of the night, and he was lovely.
Would definitely love to come back for future Valentines nights, or even an anniversary night

Firstly I want to say that we had the ABSOLUTE best experience with choosing La Riviera as our intimate wedding venue. From the beginning, owner Kevin was incredibly accomodating, kind and responsive. It made planning our wedding breeze and makes us want to do it all again!
The venue is so stunning and exactly the vibe we were after – candlelit, romantic and moody. The restaurant is already so beautifully decorated so there wasn’t much we needed to add!
The food was also highly impressive and we couldn’t fault any dish – my personal highlights were the spanner crab tagliatelle, wagyu tonnato, Cappellacci and also my fave lychee Martinis!
Last but not least, the hardworking and friendly staff. Dressed impeccably and the best service, always topping up our drinks and helping out when our candles burnt out. I had so many of our guests reach out to me specifically to compliment the service. Huge shout out to Linda who helped get an espresso martini stain out of my wedding dress at the end of the night!
All in all, we could not recommend this place enough and we hope business continues to flourish ❤️

I enjoyed two meals at this modern Italian restaurant in Phillip St that is part of the bambini trust group.
We had a delicious meal of the snapper, fillet steak and pork cutlet. It was just delicious. One of the best snappers I’ve had in a long time. This was followed by dessert of their world famous tiramisu and millefoil . Just be aware if you are on your own and they offer sparkling water it does not come by the glass – you pay for a whole bottle. Remember to ask for table water to avoid this charge.
There is both indoor and outdoor seating and since it was coolish the gas fire heaters were on so nice and cosy even outside. I found one young gentleman in particular who happened to be on both times I was there friendly and charming. There is a rather lovely bar at the front of the restaurant and overall the decor is tasteful. I believe the restaurant is available for private functions as well.
Would definitely revisit again once I get craving for Italian food again

I booked here to celebrate my friends engagement and it couldn’t have been better. The interior and ambience was incredible and the food was gorgeous. I particularly enjoyed the Tamara, Lobster pasta, Millefeuille and the Chocolate cake which was divine.
What truly elevated the entire experience was our incredible server, Andrey. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of. He was attentive without being intrusive, incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, and offered thoughtful recommendations that we absolutely loved. Andrey anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, ensuring everything flowed smoothly throughout the night. We celebrated my 40th birthday and my friend’s 60th and retirement at La Riviera, and it could not have been more perfect. The steak frites were spot-on. A combination of crispy potato and a steak that was juicy and full of flavour. My entree, the octopus carpaccio, was a showstopper; light, fresh, and beautifully plated. The cocktails (espresso martini & lychee martini) were delicious and the lemon and thyme crème brûlée the perfect finish All my dietary needs were taken care of and we dined like queens.
Thomas gave us gold-standard service all night. He was warm, attentive, and effortlessly professional. The atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxed, and the food was pure joy on a plate. A truly memorable night. La Riviera knows how to make a celebration feel special. We’ll be talking about it for a long time.

Everything was so nice! Love the Prawns and the Funghi Pizza is also so good. Amazing service from our waiter, Andrey and one other guy with the tiny ponytail hehe forgot to catch his name. Highly recommend 🙂 will be back!
