Our first time tonight and we will become a regular guest. I tried the mangonada – amazing. My hubby had strawberries and cream ice cream with coconut scoop too. VERY delicious. Really friendly staff and let us sample before deciding. Reasonable prices. Highly recommend!!

We sat and watched the happiness of the people eating ice cream. While I had the strawberry, my wife enjoyed Rompope (Mexican Eggnog) that reminded her and I of our childhood. The flavors were amazing and the service was with interest to find your special flavored ice cream. I sat quietly watching and found myself intrigued by the Owner as she spoke proudly about her challenges in life and WHY she opened her business. When she finished, my wife and I wiped our tears away. Her story was like any immigrant story of struggle to to give her family and children a better quality of life and a better future. Her passion and the laborious work that her entire family has put into opening the La Real Michoacana has answered the WHY would I continue to make this my go to place for ice cream and treats. Not too many places are around the days that have an origins story.

Not too many soft serve ice cream options compared to other ice cream shops, but plenty of paleta options!

It’s a roadside ice cream shop, but please stop and try if you’re in the area, it will blow your mind. The frozen juice pops must have little to no water because they’re to die for.
