This Resturant is definitely the best in RDU. Our meal and drinks are Extremely consistent and the service is exceptional. Any day of the week no matter what time of day. My waitress Nicole and the manager Eduardo have been so amazing!! I recommend to anyone visiting RDU!

This place and the staff were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. My family and I (~30 people), had a reservation at another establishment that was cancelled by that establishment at the last minute when we arrived. La Rancherita was able to accommodate us in a pinch and provide amazing and exceptional service. We were so grateful and everyone had an amazing time.

The menu is interesting mix of familiar TexMex fare and unique twists on traditional options. It’s hard to differentiate yourself in a sea of enchiladas, but this place does it. Nice atmosphere and pretty fast food service. The server was spread thin with large coverage area, so not that attentive to us, but we had a nice dinner. I’d definitely return. Given three other Mexican type restaurants in the immediate proximity, this is my favorite.

The food at La Rancherita is truly amazing—delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. When we dined in, the waiter was very friendly, and overall, the service was great.
However, the experience was a bit disappointing the night before. We arrived 25 minutes before closing, expecting to get a quick bite, but were turned away without service, which felt unwelcoming. Especially when other places, like The Cheesecake Factory, were happy to seat us even later.
So while the food and staff are excellent, the handling of late arrivals could be improved. A little more flexibility and hospitality would have made all the difference.

La Rancherita at Crabtree has become our weekly ritual—sometimes twice a week—and for good reason. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, the people… everything just works.
Their top-shelf margarita is easily one of the best in Raleigh, and the sangria is equally outstanding. For food, I keep coming back to the baked seafood plate: scallops, tilapia, shrimp—all perfectly cooked and incredibly satisfying every single time.
Their salsas deserve their own shout-out. The regular salsa is great, but if you like heat, ask for the spicy hot salsa. It’s unbelievably good.
Service here is consistently excellent. We’ve been coming long enough that most of the staff knows us by name, and they always make us feel welcome. If the weather is nice, the outdoor seating is a wonderful option, and they’re very dog-friendly—they treat your four-legged friend just as warmly as they treat you.
A special thank-you to Omar, the bartender. Not only is he fantastic at what he does, but he has one of the kindest spirits you’ll meet. Hospitality truly seems like his calling.
The interior is festive and colorful, the music fits the vibe, and overall it feels like a little hidden gem tucked inside Crabtree.
If you haven’t tried La Rancherita yet, go. It’s one of the most consistently enjoyable spots in Raleigh.

Kimekah Green
I love this place. We order frequently since they first called the spicey tacos diablo…. but idk what’s happened. I’m sitting in front of my food and In the ACP they swapped pablanos for green peppers and barely roasted them and that ruined it for me. Also the black beans are nowhere near as good and the tacos were wet and soupy and that never happened before. I’m kinda disappointed. Thats like $100 of not so good! Also my husband and son are allergic to shellfish and we just found shrimp in the food. I am not happy.
