The restaurant offers a stunning view of the adult pool and the ocean, creating a beautiful atmosphere. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, making the dining experience enjoyable. One of the highlights of the meal was the fresh fish, which the server proudly described as very fresh-caught snapper. The fish was beautifully presented, butterflied and garnished with flakes of salt on the plate. It was incredibly tender, delicate, and flavorful, making it a true culinary delight.

The service was excellent, the steak was great, our other food was OK, and the atmosphere was good but slightly ruined by swarms of mosquitoes. I would recommend double checking your bill, but it was minor, see below.

All of the staff were very friendly, spoke great English, Spanish, and Spanglish. They were very attentive and I can’t say that we have any complaints about the service directly. They did charge us twice for a bottle of water, which we noticed and just took out of the tip, and it was a fairly small amount so not a big deal, but also not the sort of “mistake” that a restaurant of this level should be making.

The steak we had was delicious, perhaps a little salty, but very good none the less. We also got a soup that was very interesting in its presentation (see video) and my partner enjoyed it, but it did not compliment the steak at all and I found it to be a bit too ambitious with its attempt at complexity. We also ordered some fries, which turned out to not be steak fries, as I had thought they would be in what appears to mostly be a steak house and were instead an attempt to recreate McDonald’s fries, which should never be your goal for fries IMO.

The atmosphere was very nice and had a very positive feel to it. Sort of an Asian/Mayan hybrid theme. The seats were a bit much, stuffed with too many pillows that made it a bit awkward to sit, but once rid of the excess pillows it was not a problem. Our table was wobbly and made a crashing noise each time it shifted, but wasn’t a huge problem, just again, slightly not at the level that the restaurant was trying to put itself at. Ultimately the big downside on the atmosphere was the swarms of mosquitoes, which sadly there is little they could have really done about due to the design of the restaurant, but it did negatively impact our enjoyment of it and we walked away with several bites.

Seriously overrated. Veg was cold and tasteless, mashed were cold, the chicken was good. For $300 US for two, included two glasses of “house” Chardonnay, me’s thinks it was overpriced food for what it was and pretentious. Service was a real hit and miss. What should have been beyond excellent, simply was not. No bueno.

Such a cool restaurant! As you walk up you feel like you’re in a jungle setting to see a beautiful inside restaurant that is open to its adult pool and the ocean. Great steaks, lobster (Maine and Caribbean) shrimp and the salads and sides were all excellent. And it’s a cool golf cart ride from the lobby

Best steak I’ve had in a while and I’m originally from Texas but live in New York. Asparagus was pretty undercooked but I came for the meat and the views and would give a 10 out of 10 for that.

Excellent Peruvian seafood restaurant at the NIZUC resort. The view is spectacular, the food is delicious and the service is warm, friendly and attentive. The seafood rice, like a paella or arroz con marisco, is particularly tasty. Highly recommended for a casual yet delicious lunch.

La Punta Grill was my favorite restaurant at Nizuc. The giant oysters were amazing! They were well washed, no sand. And juicy like a steak. They fitted us in even though I didn’t have a reservation. Thank you!

Top notch food and service. I’m a very picky person when it comes to food and service. This restaurant provided perfection in both ways. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who truly cares about an exquisite dining experience.

Apps were OK. Nothing special. Mains not bad also, but no flavors I haven’t tasted before. Fish tacos needed a bit more lime and dressing. But the *tlayuda,* pictured, was OFF THE HOOK. sososo good
