Been coming here for a minute now. Always get a chicken smothered burrito with rice to go. I just don’t know what’s going on with the chicken has a hard to chew no tender texture to it now a days and the rice used to be moist and now kinda dry

I love their pork rib platter! Tender baby back ribs Smothered in a flavorful red sauce and served with rice beans and fresh hot tortillas. One of kind that I love to get when I am in town. My mom also enjoyed her soft tacos. One of the better Mexican restaurants I have been to.

My favorite place for a huge smothered burrito.
Service is always great!
Tonight we showed up with a family of 7 right before closing and they sat us without question.
And still treated us great.

I ordered the Bean/Cheese dip, the 2 Soft Tacos with Grilled Chicken, smothered with cheese and mild sauce. My mom ordered the 2 hard tacos with Shredded Beef and verse sauce.

Speed: 5/5
Had appetizer dip and main entree within 20 minutes but it was also not busy at all.

Customer Service: 5/5
Waitress was super nice even though she was still training!

Food Flavor: 5/5
Best bean and cheese dip EVER. Sooo cheesy and really great flavor. Generous portion too! The Grilled Chicken Tacos with the Molé (not sure how to spell it!) sauce was delicious, filled to the brim with chicken and I didn’t feel like it was
too much tortilla despite what other reviews say.

Portion Size/Price: 5/5
Got wayyyy bigger portions than I thought. Spent about $45 for two people without the tip between me and my mom, and ended up easily getting 5 meals out of it.

Attentiveness: 4/5
It was really slow when we were there, so everyone who worked there was super relaxed. I don’t mind at all, but if you’re a Karen and don’t like people being on their phones or doing homework when they’re not busy (you should probably loosen up) it may not seem attentive enough for you.

Overall: 5/5
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Kind of confused why there’s so many negative reviews. We sat down and within 10 minutes had the most AMAZING bean dip ever. Within 20min had everything else. Chips aren’t stale at all, and the salsa is pretty spicy!

Waitress was super nice. She was really young, and it seemed like she was still learning/training, but she was still super kind and courteous!

Overall I really loved it. One of the best Mexican food spots I’ve been to in a long, long time!

Asked for limes, they gave us lemons, asked for corn tortillas, they gave us flour. Asked for double rice they gave us double beans and my man got beans n rice. Wth???? Then the chips were basically tossed at us and landed all over the table. The server was NOT English speaking or just not paying attention. Won’t be going back. Plenty more Mexican restaurants to try. Won’t recommend to my friends and family. :'(

This location has quickly become one of my favorite places to eat. The owner makes a point to come around and check on each table at least one time per meal, the servers are great and always helpful and the food is great. They bring your food out on a hot plate so the food stays hot longer. The chips and salsa are always so good. The salsa can be spicy (which I love) but watch out for that if you wiggle with spice food. The rest of the menu isn’t spicy so no need to worry there.

I know what to expect with these places, but this was the worst food I’ve ever had at one. It was so bland, the tortilla was extra thick like 10x a normal tortilla and there was basically nothing inside it. Waste of time money and calories.

Personal favorite. Been a staple in the Salt lake valley for Decades. You want authentic homemade chili Verde with chunks of pork and cheese and flavor. You found it!!!

Food is horrible. Nowhere near the food you get at any other la puente. Everything was watery and bland from the smothered burrito to the salsa. Spent 100 dollars and got nothing but disappointment.

Food is a – star. This is the ONLY La Puente that is horrible! Save yourself bad food and go to the LaPuente’s that actually know how to cook the recipe that established La Puente… Quality La Puente’s are in Taylorsville or the one in Salt Lake.
I’ve dinned in West Jordan and ordered out, both experiences were horrible.

Viola, please look into this…
