If you go on a weekend, expect to wait close to an hour for a table. That was expected because it’s really the only nice breakfast place in the area.
The Monte Crisco was the best I’ve ever had. Their strawberry jam is always good as well.

Breakfast is really good but lunch not so good. This is half of my Tuna Melt only one slice of tomato and they could have done a better job putting it together. The other half I ate had a lot less tuna on it. The flavor was alright and the potato salad not so good. I think for now on I will just stick with breakfast. They put us on the patio and next to the edge and the wind was blowing and really cold.

Love this place! Always have they have a delicious eggs Benedict. Their croissants are incredible. Their coffee is outstanding. I always get a bag of beans before I go camping now it’s a new tradition because they’re coffee is so good. It’s a great place to go. Have a date little expensive, but if you split a meal and just get a cup of coffee, it’s pretty reasonable however, if you’re just wanting a sweet treat, definitely recommend their vanilla and Marion Berry macaroons. They are outstanding and I don’t like macaroons but these ones are out of the best. It’s a great place for brunch lunch or a date with your husband. We always go on certain families in town and it’s so nice because they do cater for families love this place so thankful for it and all the memories I’ve made with it

Really nice place. Busy though. The food is average. The do have croissants which are good. Not the best I had. My wife had the Pavlova. That was not the right meringue. It was not pleasant at all. Could not eat it. The champagne spritz was good. They have a nice choice of pastries. My wife enjoyed the flight of Mimosa and the pain au chocolat. My son had the Black Beauty, and that was delicious!
I would go back and try some pastries.
The staff is friendly and professional but really busy. I want to like the place, but it lacks warms.

Food is delicious but they won’t take reservations so waiting is definitely part of the experience. Both times I’ve gone there I ended up being seated in an outside area (during winter) that is semi-enclosed and heated with big space heaters. (They do offer the option to wait longer for an indoor table if you aren’t wanting to sit outside.)

Good food, good service. Everyone was happy enough with the experience. The tiramisu French toast was delicious. The outdoor patio atmosphere was whatever. Took about 25 minutes for a our table of 6 to be seated. No one thought of the experience as spectacular but prices were fine for what we got.

Cute french restaurant/bakery. The food was good and reasonably priced. The place was packed Saturday in the middle of Summer so the wait was a little long. The dessert was delicious! The coffee was also really great. I think the atmosphere lends it’s self to a variety of functions; work lunch, brunch with the friends, casual date. I think they could also accommodate a large group. They also have outdoor seating. Me and girls loved this place, we will be back.

“Not a lotta France in this so-called French joint, mon ami.”

Walked into La Provence expecting Paris … got Portland with a beret. Other than croissants and baguettes, there’s not much waving the tricolor here.

My Mission: Bourguignon Brunch – $21

Braised beef in a “red wine ancho chili sauce” over a battlefield of butternut squash, bacon, leek, potato, green pepper, harissa, and jalapeño, topped with an egg and horseradish crème. Sounds tactical, right? Wrong. The butternut squash threw a frag into the operation — mushy, weirdly sweet, and out of place. Beef was MIA on flavor.

My Wife’s Objective: Strawberry Pistachio Praline French Toast – $17

A brioche stuffed with strawberry crème, topped with strawberries, whipped cream, pistachio praline, orange crème, and cardamom sugar. Over-the-top? Sure. But she was grinning like a Parisian on leave, so mission accomplished on that front.

The Final Insult: Éclair – $7.50

Seven-fifty … for one pastry smaller than a 9mm mag? You’ve gotta be kidding me. I’ve eaten better out of a French MRE.

Bottom Line: Not bad, not great. If they actually served real French food — cassoulet, escargot, beef bourguignon, coq au vin — I might saddle up again. Until then, this is just “Oregon Provence.”

There were so many items on the menu I wanted to order! Arrived Sunday at 10am, we were told it would be about 30 minutes, we were seated and ordering in 35. It was awesome! We will go back as soon as we can.

The food and service here are both top notch. I had the Monte Cristo and my wife had the Chef’s Omelet. My meal came with white bean and chorizo soup. My wife’s meal came with a fantastic croissant.
