Dinner tonight at La Presa in Highland Village. They opened at the end of 2025, but we hadn’t had a chance to get there yet.
I really loved the way their menu was individual items – so my dinner could be 4 different items and I could try around the menu without breaking the bank.
Everything was well done. Seasoned perfectly and balanced. Great service. Just a really good experience overall.

We were very impressed with this restaurant, their decor was very nice, and the food was excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have a unique table service style that works very well, if you need something you just stick your little card in the stand. I tried several different kinds of tacos. The shrimp were my favorite.

We went to La Presa Taqueria for brunch and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The outdoor seating creates a very relaxed, inviting atmosphere, and the service was genuinely friendly and attentive.
The chef recommended several items, which we happily followed—and every suggestion delivered. The quesabirria beef was outstanding, and the pork belly taco was just as impressive. The pork al pastor also stood out, full of flavor and perfectly prepared.
The salsas deserve special mention—unlike anything we have tasted locally. Rich, bold, and flavorful, they paired perfectly with the super-thin tortilla chips. Add in their Mamacita Verde margaritas, and it all came together beautifully.
Overall, it was a fantastic way to spend a Sunday. La Presa Taqueria is absolutely worth a visit, especially for brunch.

I went here yesterday for the first time, and it was so good! I got the quesabirria tacos and al Carbon. We also had chips and salsa roja. Our waitress, Candy, was great! She answered our questions about the menu, checked on us often, and was so nice! Would highly recommend La Presa and Candy!

Incredible food and consistently great service when dining in. Unfortunately, takeout has been a different story.
I’ve ordered delivery twice in the past month… same order both times (steak fajitas). The first time, there were zero tortillas included. Tonight, I ordered again and even paid extra for additional tortillas… and once again, none were included.
If you’re going to offer takeout and delivery, there has to be basic quality control to ensure customers receive what they actually ordered, especially paid add-ons. This place has so much going for it, which makes this kind of miss all the more frustrating.
