This is a true hidden gem! A small mom-and-pop Puerto Rican restaurant with amazing service and food that’s a solid 10/10. Every dish was full of flavor, fresh, and made with so much love. I honestly didn’t expect it to be this good, and I was blown away.
Traveling from Florida, this place easily makes it into my top 5 restaurants I’ve ever tried while traveling. You can feel the passion and pride in both the food and the hospitality. If you’re looking for authentic Puerto Rican food and a warm, welcoming experience, this place is a must. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Food taste is inconsistent each visit. I guess it depends on the cook that day. More importantly, for people with ALLERGIES, BE CAREFUL!!! They don’t label their food properly. We ordered beef empanadas and we were given beef/cheese empanadas. My family member is allergic. When I told them about the mix-up she explained that they all have cheese and you have to request it without it! The label literally said beef empanadas! It said nothing about cheese! Stay away if you have allergies!!!

We had the opportunity to try the food stand at the Allentown Fall Festival. We enjoyed what we had overall. The pork kabob was good. The pork was moist, and the flavor was pleasant if not exceptional. The rice and plantains were very good. We liked it enough that we would certainly try the restaurant if we were in the area.

Food is delicious but need more flavor unfortunately. The people was so polite and patient w me and my friend because we had tons of questions about their food. It was our first time eating at this restaurant. I recommend this place the Whiting Fish was delicious but the beans wasn’t as flavorful. I would come back for the Whiting Fish..

After a stressful appointment with his doctor, I wanted to feed my son what I consider “comfort” food. We’d never been there before, I literally just googled Puertorican food near RWJ. We walked in and we greated warmly by the staff. The young ladies manning the counter were friendly and welcoming as only aPuertoricans trying to feed you can be (wykyk). I have food allergies so iI had some questions about ingredients. They seemed very knowledgeable and offered to double check if i wanted. We ordered the stewed chicken and the BBQ ribs as well as relleno de papa and alcapuria de yucca. I wish I had taken pictures before we tasted the food because once we started eating the food was done for. First, we got so much arroz con gandules, we couldn’t eat it all in one sitting. I had the chicken. It was so tender it was practically falling off the bone. My son had the ribs. He said it was great and loved the sauce. The papa rellena was gone first before we’d even gone a block so needless to say it was good. The alcapuria was delicious but honestly could have used more meat. I felt the same could be said about the relleno de papa, but my son didn’t care, he devoured it. Overall, the food was flavorful and delicious. Delicious enough that my son is actually looking forward to his next hospital visit. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to have my leftover rice as my oldest got home from university and devoured it like he hadn’t eaten in a week, but suffice it to say we would definitely recommend it if you want authentic Puertorican food. My son agrees except with me taking half a star away because of the alcapuria and relleno de papa.

I decided to try this restaurant for the first time, ordering through Uber eats. I ordered a roast chicken meal, a roast pork meal, papa rellenas, and beef empanadas. Overall, the food could have been more flavorful. The papa rellena barely had any beef , unseasoned and dry. I was completely disappointed in the pernil. The cuts of meat they sent were all fat…it didn’t even look cooked… Just off putting. I don’t think anyone would serve that to an in person customer, so I’m not sure why it was ok to serve it to one purchasing delivery. Unfortunately, this missed the mark and I wouldn’t be returning or recommending this place.

Another good place to eat in New Brunswick. This one is not a large place, so be prepared. The food is very good authentic Puerto Rican food. I had the stewed chicken lunch special. It came with rice, beans and a side salad. The daily specials here are incredible, and I highly recommend this place for those who like good Puerto Rican cuisine.

Ordered from this place through UberEats, everything was good, rice and beans lacked some flavor, the pernil was good overall then we got to dessert and there was mold all over the flan. I actually wanted to throw up, so disgusting. Why would you sell something like that? It’s in a clear, plastic container like how was this not noticed and thrown out.

The food is delicious. The meat is always seasoned well. The empanadas are tasty and the beans tastes like abuelita’s. My ONLY complaint is when I order a coffee they bring it out to the table with cold milk which makes my coffee cold They should warm it up (like we do at home) and bring it to the table. Aside from that the servers are all sweet and I can’t complain about the service
