It was ok. I would have liked more seasoning. I would go back but order something different.

HOMEMADE TORTILLAS THAT ARE TO DIE FOR! Excellent food, and fast service. We ate here while on vacation, and came back twice! We really enjoyed the food. We also tried their frozen margaritas which were delicious. If you are looking for a good spot after a long hike I recommend trying La Poblana!

This place has authentic Mexican food!! I had the steak burrito and the steak was seasoned very well, tasted grilled. Also got the beans with nacho cheese, man that queso and the flavor of the beans were on point. The atmosphere was great and apparently the patrons loved the food as well. The seats in the restaurant filled up quickly

The wait staff was so slow (not busy either) we didn’t have the same waiter once. We had to put in our order with 3 different waiters before getting our food. The food was less that average. I couldn’t even eat mine. My husband and mothers was some better than mine but not by much. Prices was good though I have to give them that. But you definitely get what you pay for. (Not in a good way either). By the end of it we all have food poison. I Definitely DONT recommend.

Wow!
We are faithful patrons of Guayabitos and thought this was THE Mexican spot in Bryson City, BUT La Poblana just stole the #1 spot.

Great service to begin with. Very friendly and accommodating staff. More importantly though, FOOD IS OFF THE CHAIN! Super delicious and authentic. Did not have to wait too long for it either. Soup, tacos, El Molcajete everything was top notch.

Great service and atmosphere, but not quite so with the food. We had the combo which includes rice, bean burrito, and spinach quesidilla. The rice was very good, the beans in the burrito were more watery than I would like, but still tasted ok. But the spinach tasted like moss scraped off a rock in one of the nearby creeks. The best part of our dinner was the chips and salsa.

My family and I decided to eat here for lunch. Unfortunately it wasn’t too pleasant. The queso dip was just melted cheese instead of having chilis like most restaurants in town. I had chicken nachos which lacked seasoning. My wife had nacho supreme which she could barely finish. Her mom had shrimp fajitas but only the shrimp was the star of the show. Or at least was an understudy. Moving on to the wait staff. Before we got our food I swear our waiter transformed into 3 different people. I mean 2022 I guess. And they barely even said a word. I understand possible language barriers but there was minimal effort in communication other than taking our order and getting the check. I also understand understaffed business and rush hour. I too have worked in a restaurant. But this seemed a little chaotic. Unfortunately we did not even make it home before we were all sick. It seems a few changes need to be made. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend this to my worst enemy.

My wife and I passed this place a few times in our travels around the area, and it seemed to attract quite a few customers. So we swung by to see what it was like. The quantity of customers ended up biting us in the rear because there were no seats available. There wasn’t anyone at the door to help us, and the wait staff were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Fortunately, the bar tender saw us and invited us over to sit while he tried to get us a table. 20 minutes later, we were seated. The atmosphere isn’t anything special, but it is cozy. The bar tender ended up serving our food as well, which was nice because he was pleasant. The chips were decent, and salsa was pretty good. My wife really enjoyed her enchiladas. I had a burrito and chimichanga. I have to say that the beef burrito had very nicely flavored beef, and there was a lot of it. Normally, a beef burrito isn’t all that special. I’ve also gotta give credit to the refried beans. They had great flavor, and I had trouble stopping myself from eating once I was full. Overall, I can see why this place is popular. I hope to visit again.

This place was busy, and the food was brought to us in a nice presentation. The view behind was nice to enjoy while eating.

Authentic Mexican food, not Tex-Mex. Very tasty and good value for your money. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
