Had another GREAT meal. I had asada enchiladas with rice and beans (they’re the best!) and momma had a chicken quesadia great also. Always have a great staff.
We like the mom and pop operations and this didn’t disappoint. Good authentic food. Nice and clean fun environment. Bring cash no credit cards. Great place if ya want a good reasonable meal. I hhad the.Chile relleno plate Chris had the cheese enchiladas. Homemade excellent. With drinks were were out the door for about $32.00. We’ll be back with our motorcycle crew
The chicken was good and tasty with the salsa rojo being the correct amount of hot.
Gracias as las señoritas que prepararon la comido
They have really good asada super burritos and tacos.
It’s cash only. Unfortunately we had cash, so that didn’t turn us away. The menu is limited which is often a good sign, and the prices are reasonable.
I got a carne asada burrito. It was $9 which is a great price, but it was way smaller than any burrito I’ve ever gotten from a real Mexican place. It was average with lots of rice but had good flavor.
I also got carne asada nachos. The meat was not good- very fatty and little flavor. It came with unmelted cheese, beans, a good amount of pickled jalapeños, white and unripe looking tomatoes, and fresh avocado on top (the best part of the dish).
The food was subpar but the restaurant itself was in worse shape. The back of the restaurant had people loitering about drinking beer. I’m all for drinking in public, but the back of a gas station at 3pm on a Wednesday in the middle of nowhere is not the vibe. It just felt sketchy the moment I parked. Walking in, the restaurant felt dirty and barren. I used the bathroom and there was not even hand soap. Just a plastic water bottle with a hole in the cap filled with what I thought was soap, but (hopefully) turned out to be just windex.
The service was good and they were friendly, although the food did take a long time to come out.
Finally, the chip and salsa bar was out of action when I visited. I love a good salsa bar, so this is quite disappointing. Although, the chips used in my nachos were just low quality store bought chips, so this chip and salsa bar was likely also mid.
I will likely not be returning to this establishment on my next trip past here, and I recommend you do the same.
She was awesome, and the food was awesome.
I got a carne asada plate with rice and beans.
Seasoned perfectly. Tasted authentic.
