However, honestly, we felt the food was very expensive for what we received. We paid $99 for a plate that didn’t even include rice or tortillas. It was mostly crayfish, and crab none of it peeled so we ended up making a huge mess while eating.
For almost $100, we didn’t even feel full. A lot of it ends up going to waste because you take it home but don’t really eat it later. Most of it was imitation crab. There were maybe about nine mussels, no clams, a few shrimp, but mainly crayfish that we had to peel ourselves. We didn’t really enjoy the experience — it was more messy than enjoyable.
We went there to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and unfortunately, it wasn’t anything special. The red sauce has its own flavor and style, but it wasn’t for us. It just wasn’t what we were expecting.
For us personally, we wouldn’t return. It was okay to try once, but sadly, it didn’t meet our expectations.
The beef in both chimichangas ordered was a bit tough but within reason considering how good the overall dishes were.
My ears were ringing from the music when we left so maybe don’t go on Sunday for karaoke if you’re looking to hear your dinner mates. We didn’t know before hand, but it looked like people were having fun and enjoying themselves.
Overall we enjoyed the experience and we will be back.
The salsa was also a standout — super fresh and full of flavor, the perfect start to the meal. I paired it all with an agua de horchata that was just perfect — creamy and refreshing. I really appreciated the staff’s recommendation; it was spot on. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving authentic, well-made Mexican food!
So you get charged for the food and pray it is accurate and edible (it is a toss up, I always get home and realize either the salsa or the lime or the beans are missing); get charged a fee to pick your food up, and you get charged to use your credit card.
They should be EMBARASSED. It’s not like there was a SINGLE CUSTOMER THERE to justify being busy or forgetful. They are just CARELESS and do not care about providing a good experience, just charging people for BAGS. And using a credit card. And just arriving.
So disappointed. Avoid that place. Sucks.
Another was that I found the price of the drinks very high and we ordered 2 medium 5$ each and a large 10$, for me the only difference was the glass with handle but of size it was the same or almost the same minimum difference for the value it costs.
Menu has tons of variety of dishes almost impossible to order. If you are not familiar with mexican seafood cuisine, I loved the variety, but it might be overwhelming. They have some dishes without seafood, but they are very limited.
We ordered a molcajete, which was really good. I was not disappointed with. I will be back to try other dishes.
The place was nice and cute with beach decor and colors.
The only thing we didn’t like was complementary water was not available ,only for purchase.
