Our food was great and so was the service. Brisket chimichanga was the favorite. We also had the shrimp enchiladas. If you get the enchiladas w/steamed veggies you might want to ask them to steam them more than normal because ours were not as soft as we would have liked. Clean, family friendly atmosphere.

We tried the Cowboy Tacos and a couple of their “top shelf margaritas.” The tacos were wonderful and the sauces spiced things up nicely. Service was good. The only reason for a 4-star, instead of a 5-, is the margaritas were very pricey and were not worthy of the title, “top shelf,” much less the price. We’ll likely return, but not for alcohol.

Very nice dinner on an early Friday evening. Wasn’t busy when we arrived, but definitely was getting busy when we left. The chips were typical. The salsa was very good, but at times was a bit spicy. We ordered shrimp fajitas for 2. It was plenty and pretty good. The shrimp was overcooked, but that is somewhat the expected with a steaming hot cast iron pan. My wife enjoyed a margarita..

We sure wish we had tried La Playa Maya sooner. We have been driving past it, at least once a week for over 4 years. The building just doesn’t stand out BUT once you step in the door, the inside has a really nice atmosphere and it’s well decorated.

Visiting my daughter and she recommended that we try it. Food is outstanding! The service is great. We never had to ask for refills. The restaurant has a nice setup. Can’t wait to go back next time I’m in town.

I’ve been coming here every Saturday for lunch for about a year now and I always sit at the bar cause Veronika is the best bar tender out there. We’ll, new manager apparently took that job away from her. Mind you she is the reason I go there because she is amazing at her job. I would have stayed longer today and drank more but because I was seated out in the dining room I didn’t feel comfortable with that. Management needs to rethink that decision.

I asked for 2 bean and cheese tacos- they brought this out… then proceeded to charge me $9.90 for it. Service was super slow, never filled water or chips- had to ask for more water. Food was cold when it was brought out. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Ordered shrimp enchilada, 1 shrimp on top, opened the dish to look for the remaining shrimp to find what looks like 1 shrimp chopped up for 2 enchiladas. They substituted mushrooms for shrimp. Horrible taste and smell.

Just had a fantastic dinner here the other day with family! Service was excellent as well. Out of the 13 people in our group only one of us had been here before. Not a single complaint from anybody in the group and all of our dishes were delicious. I had the tres amigos plate with chicken fajitas and would 100% order that again. I think my favorite part of dinner was the salsa. I’m not gonna lie, I tore that salsa up, I couldn’t get enough. Will be back, thanks la Playa Maya!
