A good Mexican friend of mine introduced me to this quaint neighborhood eatery klose to his home after inquired about the best Mexican in his opinion. He raved about this small place in a smaller strip plaza attached to a gas station. I offered to buy so we headed in. Not much to say about ambience but that wasn’t why we were there… It was all about the food baby!! He suggested the Burritos, Nachos, etc but I wanted to try something different. So we went for the infamous “Chilaquiles Platter”… and I do mean “Platter”!!!

Worse Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to. We put our order in. There were 3 of us. A few minutes later they called our number. Only one meal was ready. A few minutes later they called our number again. It was not our food. Two more plates came out after, also not ours. The 3 plates were put on an empty table. Finally the second order came out. The last one was 10 minutes later. Terribly disappointed with the service.. 3 workers came out of the back and sat where the plates of food were set down. Obviously the staff meals were more important than a customers. The burritos were lousy. I got steak. It was so chewy I had a hard time eating it. Was pretty tasteless too. All in all I was extremely disappointed with this place. I’ve never had a bad meal in a Mexican restaurant. This one was the worse!! Will not recommend or come here again!

I ordered the pork. It tasted like old leftovers. The meat was bland. The beans were not what I expected they were more like bean soup. They didn’t taste bad, but I didn’t expect Mexican food to taste like American food. I would never go there again.

Finally a Mexican spot close to home! Visited for the first time with a few friends and we had a great experience. This is a family owned and operated restaurant, the type where you’re eating Grandma’s authentic homemade recipes. We were greeted with smiles behind the counter where we ordered our meal. Menu is easy to understand and has a few items that I usually only see at authentic places. Moderately priced as well. They are very flexible, we ordered 2 meatless enchilada platters. Replaced the meat with veggies and beans. Delicious! Our other two friends ordered gorditas and tacos. Handmade tortillas on the tacos made them especially awesome. And top it off with a salsa bar that has everything you would want to put on your taco.

We order a chicken burrito la placita & a steak one, as well as chips and salsa. Both burritos and the rice and beans were amazingly delicious! The chips were also good, but the salsa was the one bad thing. Rather than just fresh jalapeños, tomatoes and onions to make a perfect salsa, there is some sort of chili sweet taste that is not good at all. Overall, It’s definitely recommend the food, just skip the salsa.

I’m new to the area and wanted to find some good authentic tacos. Sadly I was disappointed. I tried the chicken tacos and the chicken was very bland and not seasoned. Honestly it looks like boiled chicken. No flavor, no seasoning, no color. Not sure how other meats are prepared but, if you can’t properly season chicken that’s enough for me. Besides the fact the restaurant is very clean. I appreciate the variety of salsas at the salad bar. As well as the aguas frescas. Just would appreciate some seasoning on the chicken! Some sazón!
