My wife and I got the Menudo and burrito, the flavors are super!!!
Topped with your preferred salsa just hits the spot. Please watch out for the salsas, the have an inviting visual but can be spicy!!Come thru they have variety of different items to try.

I was a regular at the original La Placita in Snellville for years, but then I moved to Duluth and couldn’t get it as frequently. Imagine my excitement when driving by Kroger and seeing the “La Placita coming soon” sign. We watched for months as they prepared the site, and when we finally saw the “OPEN” sign, we immediately went in to get dinner to-go.
The food was just as good as I remember, and there was some new stuff on the menu. The vegetables and salsa were extremely fresh (you can probably tell from the photos). They had 4 different types of salsa (red, tomatillo, spicy green jalapeño, and spicy chili de arbol); all were great!
I got a steak gordita and taco salad; my wife got the chicken sope and chicken flautas. The corn tortillas, taco shell, gordita pocket, and sope shell tasted really fresh and delicious. The chicken was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Everything was topped with lettuce, tomatoes, and crema/queso fresca that really completed the dish.
The flautas were perfectly fried, crispy, and not at all greasy. Perfect for dipping in the salsas! I would recommend trying those if you can’t decide on what to get.
They even cut the sope shell in the shape of a heart for valentine’s day! I’ll be going back soon to try the molcajete or maybe Taco Tuesday.

The food is authentic, fresh, and full of amazing flavor. You can really tell they care about quality and customer experience. So happy to find this place! We got the asada tacos to-go (they came with limes!), and agua fresca (hibiscus and pineapple) everything was delicious. Also excited to try the horchata next time.

We ordered 5 different tacos. The quesa biria, asada, al pastor, barbacoa, and battered fish. My favorites were the quesa biria, asada, and pastor tacos. Everything came out hot and fresh and tasted so good. We were full after the 5 tacos but we decided to order 2 more quesa biria tacos bc they were so good… and they have all the hot sauces that I like. Especially the spicy creamy green sauce.
