I really wanted to give La Placita 5 stars for just the cold beer alone but that wouldn’t be fair. The atmosphere is lively and inviting – it’s a great place to meet up with friends. The staff…friendly. They’re genuinely attentive and made us feel welcome.
Here’s the catch, and why the 3 stars, it’s the food. Not the best. Come here for the great service, the fun energy, and that ice cold beer, but maybe manage your expectations for the main dishes.

I’ve been here a hand full of times to dine in and to take out. Their seafood is always on point. Their drinks are delicious, they do have like a clubby type of feel on the weekends in the evening. I’ve never had issues with the food or the drinks. The customer service is always nice and very attentive. I won’t lie they are a bit pricey but totally worth it. If you do not like loud music on a weekend night then i recommend you get take out. Overall I like the food and drinks.

Usually it’s a good spot, but tonight we went for dinner and there service was horrible, it was about 7pm the two girls their were more worried about they’re Friday night karaoke, they don’t look up or over to you to see if you need anything we had to go find them each time we needed a refill or anything not to mention they forgot one of our sodas until we finally said something, and the music was lame, they were playing some slow romantic music like it was valentines or something, and we asked them to change it to better music, so then they play reggaeton..Omg! Read the room see your early crowd there, it’s a Mexican restaurant play some damn good music! If I want to see videos with half naked people I’d go to the club.. disappointed to the max, I felt bad I told my brother he’d enjoy the restaurant, it was lame to the max! Oh and we finished our food with not enough tortillas, because by that time we didn’t feel like chasing the waiter down again, we just wanted out of there!

This place at one point was the best Mexican restaurant in town, I don’t know what happened. I had not been there for two years.
We went there yesterday for my wife’s birthday, she ordered fajitas, they were over cooked and over salted it was uneatable, she sent it back and they still charged her the meal.
The service was horrible no chips and salsa, the waitress was on the phone the entire time.
The restaurant itself was trashed especially the bathrooms.

Quesadilla was great! Salsa was excellent! Would have given 5 star, but water tasted weird, cilantro was dirty tasting like it needed to be washed. I love cilantro but had to pick it off. Waitress was very good, but food took way too long to come out of the kitchen since we were the only customers in the restaurant. We waited over 20 mins.

It’s Saturday night 8pm went in with my family for dinner it’s 9pm and we never got the food. We went to the waitress to tell her we where just didn’t want nothing anymore and she told us the food was ready and asked us to pay for it cause after 9pm they only take cash no debit cards. So I paid and it was a lie the food wasn’t ready so I demanded my money back and we walked out. Never coming back there’s better places than this.
