We were with friends first time in Genoa and after many hours of our trip we decided to visit La Pizza di Egizio. That was the best decision! We ordered some starters with ham, cheese and much more. After that we ordered four special pizzas. Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, perfect chef and his crew. That was really great experience. We’ll recommend this restaurant, no questions! I went there without reservation but was accepted for the outdoor seating, the place was almost full both for the indoor and outdoor seating areas.
I ordered veggie pizza which took around 40 mins to be served, the crust is thin and crispy, it was big and enough for one person, taste was just ok as the veggie in the pizza was raw without seasoning or grilling.
Staff was nice and had minimal understanding of English.
Prices are average for food, but I am not sure about the drinks, but it seemed that everyone was ordering.

Had a great time here and really good food. We got personal recommendations from the owner which were spot on. It’s a little bit more expensive than a normal pizza but I think it’s justified by the quality of the ingredients and of the service.

My personal first ever 5 star review, the pizza here is amazing and the craft beers too. Both of those may be one of the best I’ve ever had! The staff was also excellent, kind, and knowledgeable. Even when fully booked and during a hectic service, they went out of their way to explain in detail their pizzas and beers. Even though it’s a bit out of the way, I would certainly recommend making a detour for this place.

Probably the best pizza I’ve ever had. Somewhat different, eg. thinner base and also broad variety in tastes (we ordered three pizzas and hadn’t tasted either of the combinations before). Super tasty/uncomplicated.
The interior is super cozy – however no view of the sea outside.
My tip: try something new and you won’t be disappointed!

I came here with my 2 boys after the beach for dinner. Before arriving, we weren’t sure if we would stay or take our pizza to go. My son decided we should stay from across the street, he wanted to sit on the terrasse and so we asked for a table. We were warmly welcomed and had a delicious last meal in Italy as we were leaving for home the next day. It was charming, authentic, agreat atmosphere and excellent service… highly recommended!

The entire staff are so friendly and pleasant. The food was delicious. We showed up without a reservation and we’re accommodated immediately with seating outdoors. Highly recommend a reservation as it was busy.
