Absolutely. Amazing. We are visiting and renting out an Airbnb down the road, we initially drove to another Mexican restaurant close by but there was absolutely zero parking (not because they were busy, just because there wasn’t anywhere to park!) and so we just came back to our rental and walked to this one. We were settling for it but we soon realized this wasn’t just second choice, it should have been our FIRST choice! Every bit of the meal was delicious and authentic, the chips were thick, flakey and melt in your mouth. The salsa came out warm and addictive. Cheese sauce? Thick and hit the spot. My friend enjoyed a MASSIVE burrito and some chicken tacos, and I enjoyed the steak fajitas. She said those tacos were the best she’s had and she quite enjoys her authentic Mexican tacos. Those fajitas were definitely the best I’ve had, tender juicy, and perfectly marinated. I am quite miffed I haven’t found a place this good where we live. Low-key jealous actually… (Everything was hot and fresh and we dined at 3pm on Saturday.)
Anyway! We will be back again before we leave Louisville. Absolutely.

Ordered Steak Fajitas, no lettuce or tomato. I call to ask if that is normal, apparently so for this restaurant. Also no option for flour tortillas, also the steak is over cooked and flavorless along with that the rice was yellow rice and also just not authentic mexican rice. I will be going through paypal to attempt to get a partial refund for my order because this was not even edible.

This locally owned restaurant is great. Their warm salsa is unique. I had the Asada, Pastor, and Carnitas tacos. They were amazing. The Mexican recipe Coca-Cola was awesome.

By far the best and most aithentic mexican place in the area if not food place. Had a love for mexican food my whole life and this place will have you leaving feeling like youre on top of the world. Probably wont ever go back to puerta vallarta again in my life. Bar none experience! If youre from mexico you will feel right at home.

I went to La Pinata on a whim due to my original idea being closed. Now I feel I have discovered my favorite restaurant in Louisville. The food was absolutely delicious! I was very impressed with the menu options and glad to have it not be one of the “chain restaurant” style food but authentic and full of flavor. The waitress was patient as a couple translation issues came up, but she was helpful and not rude and we were able to work together through them. She was a delight to have as a waitress, being very kind and seeming to really put in effort to be a great waitress. The whole experience left me with a huge smile as the food was good, well priced, and filling. I WILL be back! After the meal I stopped by the grocery and was able to find many ingredients I’ve been searching for unsuccessfully around town. I will recommend this place to all. Thank you!

Overall the food was excellent and tasted great and freshly prepared… The kids meal was an EXCELLENT value and was a taco, rice and beans. My kid loved the rice! Tried a smattering of tacos, the asada and shrimp were the favorites between my wife and my orders.
Parking was relatively easy (out front, street) parking. Unless you’ve been before, the entrance to the market and restaurant wasn’t super obvious.
Service was good – waters refilled mid meal, plenty of plates, napkins, etc. kids food came out first which is a must.
Overall good prices and quality made the meal a value for a family of 3 lunch out for tacos.

This is my second time ordering from this restaurant and I am a African-American female. That is in within walking distance of my home. So no one greets you no one acknowledges you no one asks why you’re even in the restaurant/grocery store. Then upon receiving my food the steak was not given in a good portion all my toppings wasn’t there and they’re a bit pricey for the small amount that you do receive. I would acknowledge that any American do not go to this restaurant because they do not acknowledge us
