Holaaa amigos- first off this place is so convenient to san mateo and the area how could I not try it! Happily parked my bicycle outside and went inside, you can see them going at it with pupusas. On to the filling. Prices are higher as expected for this area and only certain flavors are at the 3.50 price. Next, drink prices are very high and not shown. I ordered the atole de elote- zero corn in it, do not order. Revuelta pupusa filling was good but SUPER SKIMPY on the filling it was just tortilla and it fell apart. Same thing with the bean and cheese. They give you a number which I love self seating, and the seats had outlets. However not even offered a cup of water and allll the tables were dirty. I recommend they get these basics of clean restaurant, fill your pupusas, and friendly service before expanding their menu or selling other things- stay tuned, there’s a few competitors nearby i will try! Overall, mid.

DoorDashes La Piñata today (its called La Piñata Mexicatessen on DoorDash). I got the pan con pollo, ensalada de fruta salvadoreña, and the platanos frito. The pan con pollo and the ensalda de fruta were both fantastic, I will be ordering them again for sure!

Nice Salvadorean restaurant, cheese pupusas were very good, the revueltas lack chicharrón taste, not as good, type of pork skin maybe? Overall it’s good, had better ones. Bathroom needs improvement.

The pupusas were okay but the arroz con leche had mold in it. And when we went back to tell them about it, they didn’t even apologize. They could’ve just said sorry and given us something else like pan dulce or atol of the same size. But they told us to pay extra for something else.

Horrible experience, bad food, horrible service, the pupusas have no flavor whatsoever, carnitas are just beens mixed with some dried shreeded beef, caldo de camaron is disgusting, guess people with no experience eating real salvadorian food are amazed by this terrible establishment, i had diarrhea for 2 days after i ate here.
I forgot to mention found a hair in the salad ….

Barebones local papusaria, I haven’t had anything except the papusas but they keep me coming back! Staff is friendly and helpful. If you haven’t had papusas ask for help and if you have definitely stop by and get some!

I ordered an Uber pickup, and when I went inside to ask for it, the lady at the cashier kept ignoring me and even rolled her eyes. Very rude, and it wasn’t busy. Plus, when I got home, I found out that my order was wrong. I ordered a friend chicken dinner plate and three pork, cheese, and bean pupusas. For the pupusas, they gave me only cheese and beans. I can overlook the wrong order—it happens sometimes—but I can’t accept rude service. Do better next time.

Food is just ok, nothing special. Frescos were really diluted and lacked taste. The restaurant does not have a good exhaust so they keep their doors open even with the cold weather, even then the smoke of the kitchen still lingers in the entire place. So if you have asthma, order to go, and if you want to avoid getting the flu come when it is no cold.

The cashier gave very bad service. We ordered pupusas but they didn’t bring curtido. The chicken soup was very bad, as was the fried chicken.
